My daughter decided to visit this day spa and they bleached her clothing and she received chemical burns to her skin. When contacted to resolve this matter, the owner of the company was rude, abusive, and would not make amends. Subsequently the company posted images of my daughter without her consent for corporate marketing materials when clearly she had an expectation of privacy within their business operating location. I will be pursuing this matter with full force of law to ensure that this business owner does not exploit customers without fair use and without the necessary privacy expectations that come from a hair salon environment. I welcome a personal phone call or outreach from this company to resolve this matter. I fully expect that compensation will be paid for the commercial use of my daughter's personally identifiable information without her consent. Thank you for your prompt attention and please govern yourself accordingly.

I had gone to Namaste for a few haircuts in the past and was pleased with them so I figured they would do well with coloring my hair. But, I should have read the reviews first on just how much it would be.
My appointment was to get a balyage. I got an advanced stylist for an extra $10 to ensure that my hair was done how I wanted, making my total $118, or so I thought it would be. I had to pay $25 when making the appointment to hold my spot and was told the $25 would go towards my total in the end.
I paid $118 when my appointment was done and left. After realizing that didn’t seem right I called to ask if my $25 was ever put towards my total. I was told it was, which didn’t make sense to me; I shouldn’t have paid $118 if it was. After asking why I found out I was charged for extra product that they said was used that I was not aware of. They said 2 bowls of color were used on my head, when only one was. I don’t have a lot of hair so I was confused about the “extra product” charge. I thought that the color was included in the balyage listing price, but apparently it’s not? I asked them what the $118 covered if I was getting charged for the color on top of that and was never given a straight answer. I was told the manager would look over my charges and give me a call back to help work out my problem and I never heard back from anyone.
After everything, I ended up paying a total of $140, not including the tip, for something that ended up nt looking like what I wanted.
I will say, though, the girls I talked to were super nice and I always felt welcomed. This last appointment just bummed me out because it was a lot money than what I was expecting and what is listed on their website. So just be aware of that.

**They keep blocking my review, I keep posting because people need to know**
UPDATE: Bleached Shirt & Owner
So I ended up calling the salon. I asked for the owner but she wasn't there & the receptionist had me speak to Sydnee. Sydnee asked about what was going on, for photos, & then texted me saying "I'm very sorry that happened, what can I do to make it right? (1:27pm)" I responded "I feel that it's fair to be refunded the amount of money for me to get a new one. (1:34 pm)" I never received a response. A few hrs later my bf went to the salon with my shirt to talk to them. He called me back & said that the owner, Lindsay Saurey, pulled him into a room and said that they weren't going to do anything about it because it's a "risk we take when we get our hair done" & also said "I can't believe she would leave such a negative review after her hair looks so beautiful." Really? Did she even read my review? My review was fair. It explained the things the stylist did well & a mistake she made. But the majority of it was good. I could have left a far worse review the first time, like how they were late to my appointment, how the salon wasn't even open when my appt. started, or how she barely talked to me until 2 hours into the appt. & gave my boyfriend & I judgmental vibes... but I didn't. I decided to go speak with Lindsey myself, & when I got there she was gone. She would not pick up the phone, & Sydnee didn't even acknowledge my presence. I notice that no where on the desk, door, website, ANYWHERE says that their clients take that risk of getting their clothes bleached by supposed professionals.
Me, my boyfriend, & my parents are extremely disappointed in this salon, particularly with Lindsay Saurey & Sydnee Caldwell. None of this should have happened, & Lindsay & Sydnee are not handling this professionally. I personally would have felt so guilty if I had ruined my client's clothes. I would have found some way to make up for it. But The Namaste Wellness Spa & Salon do not care about their clients as long as they get to keep the money & their reputation on Google Reviews. One of Lindsay's last words to my boyfriend were, "We hope she comes back in and receives more treatments from us." Hard pass. I'm never returning to the Salon as a client. I'll just walk away with my wallet short $130.00 +$16.94 tip & my bleached shirt.
The damaged shirt is not showing for some people. I don't know what to do about it, sorry about that.
Clients, watch your back, both literally and figuratively.
p.s. They still have the nerve to use my hair as a marketing tool on multiple instagram accounts without my permission.

1ST REVIEW:
I spent several months looking for a new place to have my hair done, as I did not like my experience that I had at the Ulta Salon in Ammon, ID. My boyfriend set up an appointment for me at the Namaste Wellness Spa & Salon for a Valentine's Day gift. I had my hair done by Sydnee Caldwell, the manager & advanced color specialist. Before criticizing anything, I just want to say that her work is phenomenal. I loved how my hair turned out, & I liked how she gave me a heads up when there was going to be an additional charge for something and would ask my permission. The only reason I regret having my hair done with her today was because she bleached my favorite shirt. There's a vivid half-circle on the back where it got bleached & the apron's collar stopped. I think that it happened sometime between the process of going back & forth from the sink to the hair dryer. She would remove a few foils, rinse, have me sit in the hair dryer, & start over that process 3 times. I've never had that happen before at a salon, so I'm not really sure what to do. I do feel upset & kinda jipped because I paid more to have the manager/advanced hair specialist to do my hair & then left with my clothes ruined. My boyfriend & I feel like it was a result of carelessness, because that shouldn't have happened with that kind of experience.
With that said, her work itself was good. I like my new hair. I'm just not sure if I will be going back.

Best place to go for a hair color and cut hands down! The girls here know what they are doing and are up to date with the latest hair styles and techniques. I moved out of state and still come here because I can’t find a decent hair stylist anywhere else that measures up.
