Lava Hot Springs Inn & Spa

We stayed in The Blue House, which was a much better deal than the main hotel. Similar pricing, but private bathroom, living room with TV, functional kitchen, and dining room with table. We were very comfortable and it have us a lot of room with our children. The breakfast served in the morning was excellent, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the other guests made for nice conversation. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we stay in Lava. One drawback: there are cats in the main house and if you have allergies, this is something to remember. The room doors are left open until guests check in, so the cats have access to guest rooms although I'm not sure they venture that far into the hotel.

This was my second time at the inn. First time was amazing, this time they put us up in a cottage that is a block away from the hot springs and the wifi didn't work. The cottage is very private and has its own little perks that you don't get from staying right at the inn. It's very cozy, like a small cabin, but at this point in my life I value location and connectivity over cozy and private. The full breakfast is amazing in the morning and the hot springs are great for relaxation and rest. Overall still a good experience I would just prefer to stay at the inn.

Pools are plentiful and the temperatures variant. The cold plunge is especially invigorating. The "red neck sweat lodge" wasn't in operation,more likely because of a problem with its name rather than it's plumbing (>_

We had to walk through construction and wet cement to get to our room. My shoes were ruined. The construction crew had to pack up and move every time we came in or out of our room making it very uncomfortable. I wasn't impressed at all. We were walking through hoses and chords, it was a very big safety. Even with their improvements, it is a very run-down Hotel.

Only used the mineral hot spring pools located at the inn, but great service! The pools are not very crowded and always a good time! Great for relaxation
