National Glass of Tucson

What a shame. I have been doing business with this company for many years. Everything from a piece of 8 x 10 picture frame glass to a new windshield in my classic Porsche. I called them last week to have them install a shower door. I was told four things by three different people none of which were true. When asked for a callback from a manager, nothing. This has always been my go to place but sadly no more.

I have had a few good experiences with National Glass over the years. However, several years ago I took our 4'X7' sliding screen door there to have it re-screened. I expressly asked for "aluminum" screen -- not nylon -- but when I came back for it, they had installed nylon. I started to protest, but from their combative attitude it seemed they weren't about to replace it with the requested aluminum. Of course the nylon screen deteriorated and fell apart over the intervening years, so I took it back to have it re-re-screened a few days ago. They said that (though it cost less than $40 several years ago) nylon screen would now cost "over $100," so I didn't even ask about aluminum. I promptly took the door to Ace and had it beautifully re-screened with aluminum for $43.

I had a cracked windshield that turned out to be too big to fix but the very nice people at National did a great job of replacing the windshield - very quickly and at half the price I was expecting. Highly recommended.

The seal at the top of my front windshield came loose on a cross-country trip to Tucson. I showed up on a Saturday morning, 30 minutes before they officially opened, but people were already there. A guy immediately came out to take a look at my car. A second guy had it cleaned up and re-glued in

They broke both of my door panels and still charged me full price. They didn't even mention it when they gave my keys back.
