New Mexico Tea Company

There is something magical in this tea. Granted, I have only just recently discovered this shop, and have only purchased 1 blend of tea so far (cream earl grey). However, this one blend is quite simply the cleanest, smoothest, most flavorful tea I have ever consumed, and I have been to some very quality tea shops around my area (Hudson Valley, NY) but, I have never been as satisfied from (and excited to drink again the following morning) any tea like how I feel about this blend from NM Tea Co. Honestly--and I don't know if it's the base tea they use in the cream earl grey, or some other added ingredient--but this tea actually improves my mood, dramatically. I almost feel like I am high, except that it's also very easy for me to stay productive. Maybe it's all just placebo, or just something particular to my brain chemistry, but I have drank many quality teas over the years and I can't recall ever feeling so good simply from drinking a cup of earl grey. Ordering online was easy and pleasantly uneventful, but a nice touch was getting a call from NM Tea Co the day that I ordered just to confirm that my card / shipping info was all correct, since they were having trouble locating my street on google maps (which is understandable, since the street goes by two different names interchangeably). After they made sure that everything was good on their end, we had a nice, friendly chat about tea for a couple of minutes; this was during the late evening (East coast time) and, I can only assume at the very end of their work day, yet their demeanor felt genuinely warm, patient, and informative. Which is a far cry from how I usually feel at the end of my work day. Just another little bright aspect to the overall happy experience of doing business with NM Tea Co. I seriously cannot wait to try something else from their selection--there is so much. Their policy of offering 1 free tea sample per month is generous and unique and intelligent. I hope at some distant point in the future to have eventually tried them all. For the time being, I can't see myself purchasing bulk tea from anywhere else.

Best place in town to get delicious loose leaf tea! Ive been getting my tea here for the last 10 years. They have only gotten better! I take everybody I know here and tell every one about NM Tea Company. The staff is always friendly and willing to help. I HIGHLY recommend you try this place!💙

Food was okay and tea was tea. I had an okay experience there. But throughout my entire sitting, I felt like the server kept rushing us to finish and leave. Ill understand if they had other reservations after us and the place was packed. but nope, There was a few empty tables next to us. And the server proceeded to give us the bill when we were obviously not finished. It was a good try hopefully my next will be better.

Open the door... instant aromatherapy. A pretty vast selection of bulk teas, tea sets, mugs, tea cozys that I mistook for fezzes at first... and very helpful, friendly staff.
