Northern Virginia Doctors of Optometry Arlington

I have been a patient at the Crystal City office since 1978 and it has been a great experience. Staff and doctors are excellent! As I have aged my eyesight challenges have increased and the doctors/staff have always been up to the challenge!

I was in the area for work and urgently needed to see an eye doctor. The staff and doctor I saw were really nice, accommodating and so helpful. They were able to fit me in quickly and took care of my issue. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend asked me to leave this review as he hasn't stopped talking about Doctor Theodora and the Northern Virginia Doctors of Optometry since he got home 3 hours ago. From the futuristic blood pressure test to the futuristic eye test and everything in between, this man has had a better experience at the Eye Doctor than he did at the last movie I made him sit through! His biggest takeaway (and the reason I'll be headed there) is that the doctor has honest as the day is long going as far as saying "I wish I could make money on you, but I wouldn't feel right about it." That says a LOT in the world of "wanna buy a watch!?" eyeglass salespeople. Two thumbs way up from him and in turn me for the Northern Virginia Doctors of Optometry Arlington Location and a fist bump for Dr. Theodora Vroustouris! Thanks for not only investing in your company for 2018 tech, but for also being so awesome, he won't shut up about you!

Love Dr. Doan but the opticians there leave a lot to be desired. I wish they could keep the good ones and get rid of the bad ones! Many a time I have been seated with opticians that don't seem to know what they are doing. I have had issues with my left lens in my glasses for the past 6 years and many times when getting a new prescription filled (with extremely minor changes) I can't focus with my left eye. Only one optician was able to trouble shoot and fix this. Of course she now doesn't work there anymore. I went in last week for an appointment and sat down with an optician who seemed utterly confused when I asked her to compare my good glasses with a pair that never worked for me. She then proceeded to take my good glasses (couldn't tell at first since I had no contacts or glasses on - plus the other pair I brought were similar in color) and HEATED THE FRONT OF THEM UP.........I have NEVER seen an optician do that....She also bent the frames downwards on the sides....I asked her to straighten them....When I was about to leave and was wearing them I noticed a bunch of dots near my nosepads on both sides. I said to the front desk person that I thought this was from the optician heating them up since they never were like that. She said oh that looks like hairspray....funny I don't use hair spray and hair spray should come off when you clean them shouldn't it?......Of course they don't come off. There are also a million scratches on them that weren't there before. But the worst issue is my left eye vision seems distorted.....An issue I never had with my current lenses. So distorted it's causing me eye strain and making it harder to wear my contacts. I don't know what part of her messing with the glasses caused the distortion but I have reached out to the office manager (also an optician) to help me. Fingers crossed I can get this resolved.
