O'Rorke's Family Eatery

The restaurant is right near the tourist center in Gettysburg, near the ghost tours and battlefield bus tours. Take a morning tour, then stop by for a great lunch or dinner. The staff is friendly, efficient and the food was outstanding. Try the french dip, the Patty Melt or the chicken. The food was served hot, fresh and with a smile. The restaurant features an outdoor seating area when warm. It could use a little cosmetic upgrades inside, mostly because it is so busy, everything from the menus to the tables are worn. All in all, it is a clean, well-run restaurant with great food.

Had the pub fish and chips and it was excellent! Very friendly staff and place was overall just wonderful! Sat and enjoyed a beer outside and just had a great time! I highly recommend strolling down to here after a good walk though Gettysburg Field and Cemetery!!!

I would highly recommend O' Rorke's to anyone that lives or visits Gettysburg. The staff were friendly and prompt. The food was outstanding (We had the fried cod and the Guinness beef stew in a bread bowl)!!! Definitely coming back here the next time we're in town!

We have been going to O'Rourke's for years when we visit Gettysburg. The staff is friendly and courteous the food is wonderful filling and plenty of it! I think it's the best place to eat in Gettysburg.

Last night my husband and I went there and our experience was a disappointment. We were seated upstairs which was nice away from the bar noise but that was the only nice part of the night. Our server brought our main courses and I reminded him he never brought our Irish nachos ( which was the appitzer) He looked confused and he said they are still making it!! I ordered a crab cake melt that was below average. My husband liked his Rueben, he said it was awesome. That at least wasn’t a waste. Both of us agreed our fries dry almost like they were either under a heat lamp. Finally we got the Irish nachos when we were done our food . Our server said the Nachos were forgotten because they had a table of 21 or something to that effect. I took half of my crab cake sandwich to my dog. She spit it out!! Wow that says a lot .
