Great tacos, the scorcher lived up to its name!
The "kitchen" is pretty small, so you've got to be patient if you order food, but the tacos are great and fairly priced. Our tacos could have been a bit hotter - they were lukewarm in temperature when they arrived, but the place was very busy (and getting busier) when we came in.
The bar has kind of an upscale-dive feel with plenty of great beers on tap.

Wow, just WOW, the tacos served by the new and improved Ohio Tavern are the real deal. And kudos to the new owners for converting a gritty, rough and tumble dive bar into an inviting comfortable space. The craft beer selection is top notch and you can still score a PBR if that's your thing. Because the venue is small and open, the noise level can make it difficult to carry on a discussion at conversational tones. In the evenings, there are live acts or karaoke.
But it's the food that makes the Ohio stand out. The $4 price is on the high side, but the portion sizes are more than generous. Plus if make it before 7pm, they knock off $1 from the purchase price. To make things even better, there are a half dozen homemade hot sauces that will knock your socks off.
Cash only, but there is an ATM available.

This place has a great atmosphere. It's a small bar, but the drinks are decently priced, and there is always something happening here. Last time I was here, I was drinking $5 Bacardi and cokes and got drink enough to sing two songs for karaoke. It was a lot of fun, and I would definitely go back.

Tacos good. Corn not good. Only take cash, no cards. Friendly staff.
Karaoke staff are nice, but you must be a local and regular to sing. If not, prepare to wait.
Tipped the karaoke hostess generously, waited an hour, still had not been called to sing although many of the happy drunks slurred MULTIPLE songs each, just because they were a regular.
Visiting a family member, we are from out of state, ended up tipping and waiting for no good reason. Never was called after waiting over an hour, watching the same people over and over again, so we left.

We went for karaoke, and had a good, loud time! Tacos were really flavorful, and inspired. Our drink of the night wound up being Cock n' Bull ginger beer, a nice twist of ginger flavor. Tried a couple mixers, and these guys don't pull any punches. If you like em' strong, this is your place. They wouldn't make me a long island, though, sadly. Too much alcohol involved.
The karaoke was a fun time! It took about 2 hours to make it through the rotation of singers. This was a very energetic, and upbeat crowd! Lots of fun songs were done, older and newer. They didn't have Imagine Dragons or Seether in their book, though, sadly. The book was pretty comprehensive, but I'd guess at them having about 7000 songs or so. That said it was a pretty modern karaoke machine, with good mics and a fun DJ. There were a lot of singers, and the crowd was REALLY into it!
This isn't the place to go if you want a quiet place where you get to sit down... it was loud, and we had 1 chair at the bar between the 4 of us, but we didn't care, a great time was had!
