Olde Towne Carriages

Five star tour. Our guide was great, the carriage was nice. I dropped a star because of booking. I tried to book online twice and it didn't work, finally it worked the next day. But the day of I got a call to confirm my cancellation which I never cancelled. Our horse faith was a little antsy but the guide was good with the horse. The guide showed up right at ten minutes before and was knowledgeable and courteous and dealt with my three kids very well.

I have been on the Historic, Ghost tour, and Jingle Bell Tours in downtown Fredericksburg. I thoroughly enjoyed each one. The owner was very knowledgeable to the history not only in facts but with human interest stories. She was very accommodating to her passengers and her horses are well taken care of. Her carriages are clean and supplied with warm blankets. I went when it was nice weather, then again extremely cold. I loved every minute. The carriages are on time and stick to schedule. The drivers allow time for photos and make sure children can pet the horses safely. Thank you for giving this area a great family activity.

Bought tickets for the Cinderella Holiday ride last night to surprise my SO. I contacted them several times about a request to have a place to propose, and to make sure the weather wasn't too cold for the ride. They were very quick to respond, and very helpful every time I talked to them. We initially got into the wrong carriage, and got a wonderful historical tour of Fredericksburg before our Cinderella carriage caught up to us and picked us up (while not intentional, it will be a great memory for years to come). We were dropped off at Hurkamp Park so I could propose to her, and our driver was great with letting us take a few minutes, and then take photos in the carriage. Everyone I interacted with was professional and very well versed in historical and Christmas information about the town. I would absolutely recommend Olde Towne Carriage to everyone

Much like the other reviews- the owner was very rude. I guess I should have done more research. I will never book with Olde Towne Carriages again. I booked a ride for my boyfriend’s birthday for 2pm on December 26th. Unfortunately the traffic on the way down to Fredericksburg was horrendous- I called at 1 pm letting her know that we would be late, and to see if there was anything that can be done. I had to leave a voicemail, as there was no answer. I then called a few more times the closer we got. This whole time thinking, there would be a solution, otherwise the phone would have been answered, and we would have Been given other news. We arrived at 2:15- late, I understand, but still hoping for a short ride, as I had already paid for her time for the whole hour, and it was a birthday gift. We saw her driving away as we walked up, we were then able to catch up and ask if we could hop on and finish the rest of our hour. She was terribly rude, and just said “you’re late, I can’t” and drove away before the conversation was even over. I checked my phone and had received a voicemail a few minutes before saying the the ride was leaving and non- refundable, again in a very rude tone. I am shocked that the customer service was this bad. I understand we were late, but that does not condone how we were treated, given that I had already paid for the hour.

Don't waste your time. The owner is very rude. I booked a ride for my engagement. She called with a truck breakdown. I said, no problem....I was very understanding. I asked to reschedule it. I tried and tried contacting her. She would only respond when I said I was going to the better business bureau. She finally responded, and said she'd refund. I had to text again to ask where my money was. Finally got it, but not for the full amount. It's a shame to do business this way. I am a lifelong native of Fredericksburg, and love the city and the concept. But this lady needs lessons in people skills. I will tell everyone I see now about my experience
