Potomac Riverboat Co

Horrible. 1st the person selling/printing tickets in Georgetown were not there till 10 mins before boat departed. Significant delays in printing tickets due to a wireless system. While people were still waiting to print tickets and board , the boat started to leave. My nephews were on board with their mom and only after having to yell that to the staff did they come back to get us. I will never use this again and will ensure I let all visitors to DC know not to trust this company

I kinda felt like I had a bait a switch with this one. I went on what was called a cherry blossom tour, but we didn't get anywhere near the cherry blossoms. We also were under the impression that we were going to be on the Cherry Blossom River boat, but we did not have that pleasure. The cruise in itself was okay. I wouldn't do it again, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. If you want to do a cruise, enjoy the cruise. But if you want to see the cherry blossoms, go walk around the Jefferson Memorial.

Nice boat ride on the Potomac River. They started from 6:00PM sharp and cruise all the way to DC. By the time you get back it's 9:30PM. Very nice scenery along the way with beautiful sunset.

On Memorial day weekend 2014 I went with family members on the Potomac riverboat . For the Alexandria to Georgetown leg we had paid on board the boat. On the return, we arrived just as the 3:30 Matthew Hayes boat was boarding at Georgetown. The "captain" was standing there so I asked if there was still time to board, I said we did not have tickets, could we pay on board ? The captain said wait here and if there is space I will let you board. So we waited several minutes. Then as the last people in line boarded the boat the captain told us our best bet was to go buy the tickets for the next boat and if we were back in time he would let us board. Of course even as we walked to the ticket booth, he had got on the boat and was pulling out. So the "captain" played a practical joke which is not good behavior. I complained to the boat company and spoke to Manager Lynn Morris and head captain John Lake, but they insisted it was not "intentional". I don't see how it was not intentional when the captain asked us to wait there until there was no time to buy the tickets and then asked us to rush as quick as we could and pulled out even as we were walking to the ticket booth.
