Olive Branch Campground

We took our new camper out to Olive Branch for its first trip. It was a great experience. Office staff are very nice and the park is well maintained. We look forward to coming back later in the season!

On March 6th I made a reservation for one night July 5th, they took my reservation and charged my credit card $39.50, then on May 22nd they called to say that because this was "a holiday weekend they require 3 days, never mind that the 4th is Wednesday. I had my reservation canceled. It is strange that it took over 40 days for them to figure this out. To their credit they did refund my deposit immediately.

Nice Campground. Sites were big, roads were good. Campground was roomy enough to maneuver large rv's around

I am sure this campground is a good and beautiful as it looks. However this campground charges you upfront when you make a reservation, which I did in February of this year. Unfortunately the first week of April as we were traveling home from Georgia we had an accident on the I-75 in Georgia when construction crews clearing brush allowed a tree to slightly overhand the highway and a six foot +tree branch went through our motor home passenger window, broke off our outside passenger side mirror, and put holes in our Fiberglas below the window. We ended up stuck for at least a week in Forsyth GA to get a new window and other repairs so we could return to Canada. We had to completely change our trip plan in order to get home in the allotted time frame we have for medical insurance etc. When I had to cancel our reservation at this campground, even with the major emergency we experience, no way, no how would the owners refund our one night deposit. They did offer to push it forward but we would be further delayed if we still went there to stay on our way home. I realize people have policies however there are circumstances, including those that turn out to be life threatening, where an exception could be made.
