Reviews
While the food was simply to be expected at Olive Garden, I had to take the time to leave a review about our waitress. My mother and I went in for a late supper on a Friday night, so I am sure she had to be exhausted. On our ticket, her name was Nallelie. She was absolutely wonderful, helpful, and went out of her way to make our experience a great one! It’s rare to have a sweet, caring waitress (or waiter) that will go the extra mile to help you out and ensure your evening is wonderful. I know how easy it is to simply go about your work and not feel the need to go the extra mile. So, I hope that someone at the Olive Garden in Columbia sees this review and tells her how impressed her customers were! Thanks again!

Olive Garden is always a must go. It is practically golden when it comes to my family, due to the unfortunate fact that my town does not consist of an Olive Garden. The food is wonderful! I've never had one bad experience with food or service ever. You can always count on the reliable workers to stay on top of everything!

Stopped in at 345 pm on a Tuesday and were greeted with.... No one. Just a couple waiting to be seated. When the host finally came, we were told "I'm sorry we're completely full, it will be a few minutes and we'll have more servers on." Interestingly we watched four tables clear while we waited on the host. The restaurant itself was nearly empty which makes sense, it was a Tuesday afternoon. Three groups came in behind us including some elderly folks that clearly could have used some chairs. While we were waiting, a server left and asked a couple to stand from their bench because she had stashed her purse in there. This is all within about ten minutes. I assumed they were working without a manager considering you would never want to rush your kitchen at a non prime time... And then a manager walked by, spoke to the host, and walked into the back with the host.
At this point, there were 12 people waiting to be seated, 15 people had cleared from their tables, 1 server had left, 1 server had come in, and someone in the bar was attempting not to be seen by the crowd at the front of the restaurant. I asked to speak to the manager when the host came back... And was promptly greeted by a manager other than the one I had already seen. So they had two managers on and couldn't bother to even seat people to get them started on bread sticks and water. That was enough for me.
This was on the heels of having the greatest experience at an Olive garden ever at Times Square. The Olive garden in Columbia has really taken a nose dive since being hit by that truck. Didn't realize it damaged their common sense on top of their building.

Food was quick and delicious. Wait staff was friendly. Everything was clean. Table had plenty of room for the chairs. Not too much advertisement on the table. Over all --- fabulous!

The scariest day of my life happened at Olive Garden. My son and niece got locked in my car in the middle of summer, along with our phones. We called the police and a tow truck, I tried breaking my window, which wouldn't break, and I was sobbing because I didn't know what to do. My husband was out of town and my spare key was at home. My sister stayed calm but I was hysterical. The Olive Garden staff let me use their personal phones, tried to help me break the window, and when we finally got them out, they brought us inside, got cool cloths and ice water, and let us rest for a while. I can't thank them enough.
Oh, and the food is good, too!
