Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

Oh my goodness dinner was delicious. There was so much food everywhere. The waitress was great! Everything tasted excellent! No complaints! The bread sticks we're amazing, and that was really nice because last time they had ran out so we even got some extra to go home. I love that you can buy the salad dressing in a bottle and take it home. With that and some bread sticks it was like I got to eat an extra meal at home and I felt like I was there!

Very dissatisfied with the soups and salad. Salad was drenched in dressing that tasted somewhat sour, we did have cheese on it as well as on our minestrone soup that also tasted somewhat sour. We were told by the manager that the Romano cheese does taste somewhat sour!. When I complained to the waiter he offered me another and I accepted the potato and sausage soup. While the second soup had good flavor it was way too spicy. We told our waiter we were very unhappy and he asked if we would like to see the manager and we said yes. He came over and asked what etc. he asked what we wanted after making sure that he understood my wife and I each had a bowl of soup and salad, and charged only one “all you can eat soup & salad”. I feel he should have offered to comp the food but oh well. Never will we return. By the way, the waiter was gracious throughout.

I love every Olive Garden i have ever been to, this one was no exception. Clean, prompting service, friendly people, and bread sticks were as usual awesome. I recommend the fagioli (not sure about that spelling). It is like a wholesome Italian chili.

Overall very good. Our server, Juanita, was very polite and courteous. Oliver Garden has great food. But on this visit there were some issues. My wife's Chicken and Gnocchi soup was cold, twice. She ate the first one but sent back the second bowl for reheating. Sadly, when we received our appetizer, the Meatball Stuffed Pizza Fritters, they cold inside. Then, she ordered the Shrimp Scampi dish and specifically asked for the shrimp to be "well done" because it's always under-cooked. Well, it came out with the shrimp under-cooked anyhow. Our waitress Juanita asked to reheat but my wife said she'd just bring the shrimp home and cook them later. Eventually the manager, Ms. Mary came out and comped both and apologized multiple times. The portions and flavor of all of our dishes was superb. If not for some of the dishes being cold I'd have given this Olive Garden a 5. Ms. Mary did make things right. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone. We've eaten here (W. Prien Lake Lake Charles, LA. location) many times and this was the first time to have any issues whatsoever.

Clean and inexpensive. They offer vegan options. It's a great place to stop for nice casual dining.
