Great experience. I wish I had asked the employee's name so I could mention him here. But he was the only guy there on Sept 3. He helped me figure out how to get the Kuat swing arm to fit on my truck with some tricky obsticles. He didn't have to do all this, but he did it with a smile. Makes me wish I needed more stuff for my racks. Will certainly check them out when I need a big part or a small used replacement.
So happy with the work these guys did! I bought a roof rack setup on Craigslist learn from my mistake, do NOT do that and it ended up being a nightmare to repair and install. But they got it done and did a great job. Highly recommend their shop. Thanks so much Shawn!
Open Road Outfitter is great. They are friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help their customers! I stopped by to pick up a $25 part to fix my Yakima rack and they were the only place around that had it, and even shared tips on how to use it best. I highly recommend this shop for installation or purchasing a rack. They'll help you make the right choice.
Great work, great staff! I needed a roof rack and bike rack installed within a short time frame and the team at Open road Outfitter were flexible and accommodating to my schedule. They provide quality work and fabulous service- highly recommend supporting a local business like this over a larger corporation!
I noticed an ad for a used rooftop cargo carrier on FB marketplace and decided to drop by and see if they had something in my price range that meet my needs. They have a large stock of used and repaired cargo boxes at about 20% below retail. They also have a complete collection of new products. The dude there was kind, he answered my petty questions and gave reasonable suggestions as to other places I might go to find a box in my price range that met my needs. Pleasant experience; I hope I have an opportunity to be their customer in the future.
I was debating between rack attack in Denver and open road outfitter to pick up a rooftop cargo box today. Price wasn't necessarily an issue but what they had in stock and knowledge, and timing definitely were as I was heading up to the mountains this afternoon. I called both shops, including rack attacks to shops in Golden in Denver, as well as open road, and they both had plenty of stock so that wasn't an issue. I alternate Lee went with open road because of their location and ease of access, and while they both had very positive reviews for both shops, I felt like open road was just a better fit. When I showed up Dustin helps me right away and within 15 minutes had a brand new box on my car! Not to mention we had discussed options of buying a used box through them, which was a really neat aspect I did wasn't aware of that they had used boxes for sale. Dustin offer to his knowledge of the mounting hardware, which is truly the only differing feature of rooftop boxes, and given that I would be taking this box on and off the car regularly he recommended the Thule. I'm exceptionally pleased with the service, and the speed, and the knowledge that Dustin had. I will definitely be going back to buy a new bike rack when mountain bike season rolls around again!
Lost my keys for my Yakima box. Called the guys at Open Road and they had the keys cut before I even got there. Then when I get there I’m met with a swarm of dudes ready to help out. If you’re looking for good customer service you need to call these guys right meow
Open Road Outfitter rocks! After buying a cheap Amazon rack, and it failing miserably, I decided it was time to invest in a system that was done by professionals. After Googling around and calling a few differnt shops I settled with Open Road Outfitter. After a quick phone call to check prices and availablity I dropped my Subaru off. Dustin was super informative and there was no pressure to upgrade from the system/features I wanted. Dustin was quick and got my system ready in about an hour. Overall I am very satisfied with my system and the work done by Open Road Outfitters and would recommend them to anyone.
I am so glad this place exists! I made the impulsive decision of buying a defective set of ski racks on Facebook market without doing my research first they weren’t defective, only missing the lock cores - which why would you not want that on your racks?. Before visiting the shop, I called in and spoke to Bob, who was really communicative, informative, and great at setting some expectations before my arrival. 15 minutes later, I’m at the shop and taken care of right away. This place has everything you could ever imagine or need - not even Thule had the missing piece I needed for my rack in stock. I wish I remembered the name of the person that assisted me, he was also an all-star and very communicative throughout the entire process. The price was reasonable, the staff was friendly, and I walked out within 30ish minutes with my racks repaired and mounted to my car. Only con is that they don’t take tips!! You can easily add that feature to your card reader. Thank you!!!
Checked out Open Road Outfitter to see what my roof rack options were. Bob and Jacob were friendly and very informative. Decided to make my own so didn’t end up buying anything, but super appreciative of them answering my questions and showing me a variety of rack options.
