I went for an eye exam and ordered contact lenses (multi focal) and a backup pair of glasses (paid full price because insurance only covered contacts). I went to pick up both today and the glasses are only readers...are you kidding me? I paid $60 for reading glasses I could have gotten at the dollar and I can’t see with them. Everything is fine 2 feet away but close up is blurry so how are they helping me? They also didn’t mark the boxes of contacts so I had to call back to figure out which went in which eye. So during the conversation I told them again I wasn’t happy about the glasses and she said I could bring them back in and they could put the distance lenses in. Great, but then how will I see close up? Never mind, I don’t have time for all this hassle and will find a new eye doctor!

Over the phone the person who assisted me was very polite , really nice I do not remember her name , either way thank you. My problem was when I got there I schedule an appointment for 3pm , got there earlier wait patiently nobody greet me I had to go and ask, then she just gave me a clipboard to put my childs information, when I stated I was done with the clipboard one of the ladies working there told me to leave it on top of the desk. I waited total of 2hrs when they finally called my kid and the Dr. she was rude and unprofessional , she stated, she couldn't do the test because he moves to much and that she was not able to do it , anyways long story short after 4hrs I left without glasses.

Sitting in office right now my appt time was at 1:50p.m. I was not late and it is now 2:35p.m. staff is running around and it is only 1 doctor here. I don't understand why they set appointments, like whats the point if I am waiting over 45 minutes to be seen! Horrible experience! And I am still waiting....I am definitely going to call corporate and let them know. And I will never come to an Optical Outlet ever again.

The only positive thing is it's close by my home and job. It also accepts my children's insurance. While waiting for 2 hours I witnessed an eye Dr. send an elderly man home that couldn't see right yet. Whisper around the corner that she explained to him about the two different contacts, he can leave why was he just sitting there Oh he's gone I hope he wasn't driving. Kids crying her coming out announcing "Uggh they need to see a specialist. I just can't."The staff there are so unattentive. The glasses selection is very small., unless your paying alot of cash for a narrow expensive selection definitely not worth upgrading $ 125. to any of the insurance picks. They will not assist you in choosing and once you have you'll wait 30 min to get assistance after. While listening to the same young pretty eye Dr. telling another worker she doesn't want to be there. Good Luck. It's been 20 days and I hadn't recieved a call or text to pick up glasses. I called them sure enough they had the right phone number and the glasses are ready for pick up. I dread going back for even just that.

Had been going to this place for years, but I'm changing business. It's gotten progressively worse over the years with the staff customer service though the eye exams from Glassberg are really great hence the extra star, it's not worth it with the wait time and poor service from the staff. I showed up to my appointment last month only to find my insurance had lapsed and they didn't call to notify me, what a waste. I then scheduled another appointment when my insurance is good, waited weeks and today they call me day of appointment and tell me the doctor won't be in, I'll have to wait a whole other week with my contacts which scratch my eyes. Plus, it's not such an easy location to get out of and do a uturn on Fowler. I had been wanting to change anyway and am going with a 5 star place which accepts my insurance and scheduled me for sooner. Please wish me luck
