The last straw occurred during the last year before I took my business elsewhere. I woke up randomly to popped blood vessels in my eyes and I had to call out of work due to pain and worry. During my appointment shortly afterward, I described my symptoms to the optometry students who then relied it to the doctor. With the door open, I was able to hear the doctor say "Tell her she manifested it and is imagining her symptoms because they make no sense. She's just exaggerating." I just froze! When the students came back to my room, I asked them if I had heard correctly then asked them to bring the doctor in. He denied it at first and got defensive until I repeated what I heard verbatim. The optometrist still blew me off. Definitely not returning For 2-3 years, the service was alright. The employees that check you in for the appointments are very nice and accommodating. As a woman of color, they have never acted differently with me.
TL;DR after 4 months of excuses as to why my glasses weren’t ready, they just called to tell me THEY FORGOT TO PLACE THE ORDER. 4 months, and they just figured that out. I tried to like these people. I gave them a chance, but what happened this time is RIDICULOUS. I ordered my glasses in March. Last year it took a month to get them, so I wasn’t expecting them right away, but it kept taking longer. I would check in with them every few weeks, trying not to harass them. They’d always say they had to check with someone else & promised to call me back, but they usually didn’t. They always seemed confused & had different theories as to why mine weren’t ready. One time they said that my insurance required them to go through a different lab, which was taking forever. Anyway, they just called me yesterday and told me THEY FORGOT TO PLACE THE ORDER. Omg I am beyond FED UP with them.
I had my eye exam 29th of mar.2022 it's now June 27th 2022 still no glasses I can't get ahold of anyone .when I do I get an incompetent worker or a condensing person on the phone. Either way I'm calling my insurance company tomorrow and getting rid of these guys. Ridiculous
After reading all the bad reviews was worried about going to apartment. I was called in a timely manner, the place was very clean, the inter she was fabulous I fell I was giving a wonderful exam. Doctor he was kind and explained everything. Great job folks
I made a visit with my daughter over a month ago to get eyeglasses with a prescription we already had in hand. The young lady we met with was courteous and efficient and I was told I'd receive a call in 2-3 weeks when they arrived. However, I've received no calls and no messages. I've left multiple messages as no one has picked up my phone calls on different days and hours.
Excellent experience visiting this clinic. Scheduling was very organized. The intern and doctor were both very helpful and nice. Would come back!
I had a good experience here. Wait was minimal, intern was capable and knowledgeable. Dr. seemed rushed, but took the time to answer my questions. Unfortunately, the experience was tainted as I was asked about 5 times about getting a prescription for glasses. It wasn't a vision check it was a medically related exam. However, they did check vision, which was 20/20, and I was still asked after that about getting a prescription I don't need. I think their bread and butter might be selling glasses, but that's just speculation. I don't really care, and my intern was great, but I think they should inform the patient that an intern will be doing the exam. There were also a few HIPPA violations, as the doors to the exam rooms are left open, and I heard multiple conversations regarding other patients and their treatment plans and health conditions. Be prepared: you also have to pay for parking, and they didn't answer the phone on multiple occasions.
I have used the Pacific Eye Optical in downtown Portland. In my mind, it gets the worse rating ever. I am 83 years old, and have worn glasses since the age of 13. Never have I had a worse experience. I bought very expensive Berlin frames. Had nothing but trouble with them. The side over ear kept falling off, replaced with same frames. Then, one lens became clouded and appeared cracked. I took the glasses in...told they were under warranty and would be fixed. Also, I was told that those lenses should never have have been put into those frames. Checked back....tried so many times to reach them by phone. Never ever got return calls. They don’t answer the phone. Months went by, finally talked to mgr who said that they could not replace them without a fee. This was six months ago. I ask them by mail to send them to me. Never responded. Finally talked to Opthomologist on the upper floor, and she intervened and sent them to me! Without her help, I would never have them back. This is after 6 months!!! I never, ever would go to them again. Most inept group I have ever seen! Do not go there!!
My daughters are both patients here. My elder daughter broke her frames and needed to replace them while away at college, so I called them to get the prescription. It went straight to voicemail so I left a message. No response. Over the next two weeks, we called them a total SEVEN separate times, both on the general voicemail and for the medical records coordinator, each time leaving a thorough message. Not one reply back from anybody. Incredible. I then took time off work and drove down to their office. A woman in the eye glass shop downstairs pulled up the info and printed it for me in about 30 seconds. She was great and exactly what should have happened in the first place, but we won't be back to this clinic.
