Paladin Security Toronto

Great company to work for. You get free training and uniforms. You can get your security lisence, first aid and so much more training all free so long as you work a period of time for them. The pay is lacking like most contract security, however if you are transitioning into law enforcement or security related field you can gain invaluable experience and training from here that can advance your career. They always have hours if you do casual and there are lots of full time opportunities across the GTA.

Worked at two different locations with the company. First was a college where the supervisors were on some power trip and would make you feel like garbage at times so that made me leave. Second place was a warehouse, this place at the beginning didn't let me have proper breaks during my shifts (we had to patrol the yard and record info in a security car and when we were really busy I would have to eat my lunch in the security car where we would patrol) and when someone from HR would come they would either act like they cared about your problems but still do nothing about it or they would come up with a stupid excuse as to why you have to put up with the bad working conditions. The CSM was a waste, he would come and stay in the same office for HOURS and would only say a handful of words to whoever was there. He needs more training on how to be a proper CSM because he once pretty much told a guard to change a tire on the security car because he wasn't able to send someone to do it professionally. I was shocked when I came back to the office and heard my partner say she was going to change the tire.. keep in mind it was winter at this point. There's way more bad things but it would be to much to type. Operations is also a joke, most of the time they were up in the clouds and had no idea what was happening on your site. To bad all security companies are the same, you just have to work your way around it sadly.

The company is great. HR work professionally with employees (guards). Jason trained us cpi and use of force due to that I saved a ladies life on a subway. I want to thank them for delivering a good course. It's all about how you communicate with others and be proffisional. If you want to smoke ask your supervisor and mention that you are smoker where should you smoke. They are happy to tell you. My advice.this is Canada always say please sorry and thank you 😊. They are humans not robots.

Great company to work for! A lot of things like scheduling, work experience and co-workers are obviously site specific but what makes Paladin better than the rest comes down to three things; training, a great HR team, and promotion within. Training is all free any better than any other company period. The HR at Toronto is amazing and does their absolute best to accommodate. And there are a lot of opportunities to be promoted within. Within a month of working I've seen a few colleagues go on to become team leaders and I've been able to apply for a further position myself. Overall very happy to be a part of the #Paladinfamily
