Paws & Play Dog Resort & Training Center

I have tried multiple services at Paws and Plays (Lodge and learn, play and train, and calming your canine). Of the three we had the most success with Calming your Canine. I would recommend this class for dogs who are very reactive on a leash. Tim, Carolyn, and Libby were all wonderful to work with and offered different tips and points of views when it came to dealing with a very reactive dog. They were extremely patient and knowledgeable. I was a little hesitant for signing up for another class after the Lodge/Learn just because I had felt that I had paid more for lodging than training. When she came home after the week not learning anything new than what she had gone in with when it came to basic obedience and reactivity I had some doubts. However, I am happy we tried a few other classes and have seen mild/moderate improvements along the way.

The trainers are fantastic! I can't say enough about how helpful they all have been. Tim has helped my dog so much with his leash reactivity and his lack of manners in stressful situations! I highly recommend their "Calming Your Canine" class to everyone! Even a well behaved dog. It is so beneficial and can help you and your dog form a stronger bond. My dog also loves "his ladies" at the front desk! He is always super excited to see them! He can't get out of the car and behind the desk fast enough! He is also a big fan of their amazing toy selection, but he always loves leaving with a giant knuckle bone in his mouth!

We LOVE Paws & Play! This is by far the best facility we've ever been to, and I cannot tell you how at ease I feel with leaving my "fur" babies here! My "big guy" Oscar (dachshund), is very affectionate, but hates leaving my sight. Matt, one of the amazing staff here, is the ONLY person to ever get Oscar to willingly walk away from me. It makes me so happy knowing that they are so happy here. The boarding, daycare, and grooming are all phenomenal, and there aren't enough stars available to give them an accurate rank! Oscar and Abby love Paw & Play, and you will too!

We had two of our dogs in separate calming your canine classes. They came from a background of basically no training and were very reactive while on leash. All of the trainers did a fantastic job of teaching us ways to help our dogs cope with stressful/frustrating situations and demonstrating the best ways to curb negative behaviors. While our puppies still both have a ways to go, we've seen so much progress in just a few short weeks and we highly recommend training classes at this facility.

We have been bringing our small Boston Terrier Emma here for puppy training, obedience and then fly ball class. She LOVES this place. We have boarded her here several times as well. She loves coming for day care to play with her friends. She loves the staff almost as much as they love her. Highly recommend.
