VCA Range Pet Lodge

I have only positive things to say about The Range Pet Lodge! My dog Dude finished the Puppy Head Start class mid April. Justin and Deb were Dude's trainers and were so awesome! They taught him so much and personalized his training according to his skill level. It's easy to see that they train dogs because they love dogs! Another great part was they taught me too. They showed me what they were working on, helped me learn the right techniques and gave me handouts so my whole family could understand how to work with him. I won't ever take Dude to any other place for training!

We got a new puppy, but not just any puppy. A very energetic, stubborn and feisty puppy. I trained other dogs we’ve had, but this one was a whole different story. The Range Pet Lodge came to the rescue. Deb and Justin were amazing at training not only our puppy, but us as well. They became like family as they walked me through some days when I wasn’t even sure I liked our new puppy. Now we are one big, happy trained family. I highly recommend The Range not only for training, but for all the services they offer. It’s a perfect place for your dog!!

This review is for the Life Skills Training Program run by Justin Alexander at the range. We took our two dogs (one just over a year and one 5 years old) to the range for some behavioral training. We did not have high expectations as both our dogs are out of the "puppy" window for learning. They spent five days at the range and would come home with us at night. We saw evidence of the training on Day 1 with our younger dog. By the end of the week, we were also seeing changes in our older one as well. Justin was AMAZING, taking time out of his busy day to answer any questions we had and making sure we felt comfortable with our training as well. After taking our dogs to the range for training and telling others about it, we learned that Justin in general comes highly recommended from groomers, vets, etc. Both our dogs have very different personalities and he was able to get through to both of them. Understandably, they're not perfect yet but that's where our responsibility kicks in with repetition at home. This training gave our dogs a good foundation and us the right techniques to continue honing in on behaviors we want and eliminating those we don't. We would highly recommend Justin and his crew at the range for training.

My black lab completed the Life Skills Training program here with Deb and Justin. The trainers did an amazing job with her, and very much exceeded my expectations! I will definitely bring my dog back for more of their reward-based training! Thanks to Deb and Justin!!!

Our experience has been wonderful. Maize, our dog has utilized several of the services - puppy play, day care, grooming and training. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Maize loves going to play with her friends in day care (human and four legged). Her grooming is exactly how we want her to look (a challenge for a doodle). And her training with Deb and Justin was top notch (and they made it fun for our family). I would absolutely recommend VCA Range Pet Lodge to anyone looking for the above services for their furry friends.
