The third and last time I took my baby there Dr. Putter did not wash her hands before examining him, she cut me off while I was explaining something to her and then dismissed my questions. The time before that after we had waited 50 minutes for our scheduled appointment, Dr. Oppenheimer walked in to the room and said “what are you doing here?” We were there for a weight check that Dr. Putter had prescribed. The doctors at this practice have dated opinions on sleeping and feeding (non medical) that they push as facts on every parent regardless if you ask or not. They made a mistake billing our insurance and called my husband and me eight separate times to figure it out even though we had explained to them their mistake and solution the first time we spoke, then I still had to deal with it at our 2nd appt. Lastly, the office is in a residential building and the door man is not allowed / refuses to help you up the flight of stairs that you have to ascend to get to the office. They have a sign ( inside their office beyond the stairs) that claims you can call them to get help up the stairs, but each call has to go through a 4 minute recording before you even get to a person and I have seen the front desk staff straight up ignore a woman with a baby in a stroller who was trying to get someone to come and help her get down the stairs. When I decided to leave the practice I called them to request my records, they told me they do not fax and I went through their specific protocol to get the records mailed and the woman told me she would mail them the next day. Two weeks went by and I still had not received them, when I called she said “ sorry, I just have so many records to mail, I haven’t gotten to yours yet.” I wonder why? I have since found a wise, thoughtful, and warm pediatrician and am so glad I did not settle for subpar care for my child.
