Petco Animal Supplies

I am very conscious about the food I eat, and as the mom of 2 fur babies, I am very careful about what they eat as well. I've done a LOT of research on what I feel to be the best brand for us. When shopping for litter, I was surprised to find that Petco carried some of the better quality Cat foods, including raw options, at comparable prices to the other local stores that carry them. The store is clean and bright. They carry a wide range of pet supplies and they sell fish, reptiles, rodents & birds. Although I don't use the services, I have seen they offer grooming and training at this location.

BAIT AND SWITCH is apparently the term for what I'm about to describe and it's illegal in many places around the world! Better item listed online for half price. Not-as-great-as-online-listing item in store with different brand name with a BIG 50% sign on it. Drag it up to the cash register (while I'm wearing wrist braces and a male idle employee ignored helping me). Lady scans it and then proceeds to tell me it's buy 1, get 1 50% off. I hadn't seen any print on the sign that said that, but maybe it's tiny? And I explain, showing her on my mobile phone, the Petco listing of the item I actually wanted and asked if they sold out? She said they never had that item. They don't sell them. I ask her why is it on your site then? And she tries to blow me off and ask if I still wanted to purchase this crate that I had dragged over at full price. I continued to direct her to my question till she told me straight up with a huge giggly grin: "Sometimes Petco posts things on their website that isn't actually sold in stores." This gets people to come into the store and a lot of people will just buy it anyway because they don't want to go through the hassle of finding another good deal. So they pay full price for a lessor product and Petco lines their pockets with money. The whole thing was made worst because the woman I was talking to was the MANAGER of the store! And she kept smiling and giggling at me like this was hugely funny to her, despite my shocked and crushed emotions being expressed. During our conversation, where I continued to try to use polite rational arguments to no avail, the lady in line behind me quietly set all of her soon-to-be purchased items down and walked out of the store. I walked out without purchasing and informed the manager of Petco that I wouldn't be a returning customer. Do NOT buy from Petco! They use the ole' bait and switch! Tell your friends! You've been warned!

This time they had great deals! I got three dog tags ingraved. I even got some clearance items that were actually only $0.99 and it was a flea and tick collar that for small dogs I was pretty impressed about that it wasn't even dated at all. The machine was easy I told you how to put the cassette for the tag N & Howell and what you wanted on your tag and it turned out really good and I'm very impressed.

Wish we had one in Aberdeen. I purchase live food for my bearded dragon. Always had good quality crickets and superworms! Great prices too

The prices for what they do have are usually okay, but good luck finding what you're looking for. The staff members that I talked to, good luck trying to find anyone, couldn't be bothered to help. I asked if they had something in stock and the woman up front told me that if it wasn't sitting in it's spot they are probably out. I asked if she should check and she said the truck doesn't come until tomorrow. This used to the be the only pet store I would go to because they used to have a great selection and the pricing couldn't be bested. The staff used to be knowledgeable and would check if they had something in stock. It looks like those days are gone.
