IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG, DON'T BRING THEM HERE
I'd give zero stars if I could.
This place is absolutely horrible. I cannot believe the amount of times we have been screwed over and continued to come back. No longer will I bring my dog to this business.
Staff is unbelievably unfriendly. Most of the ladies are rude and don't care about anything but throwing your dog in the play room (the one guy that works there seems to genuinely care about your dog). I could live with unfriendly service, but when my dog's well-being is at risk, we have a problem. I have witnessed my dog being yanked off of play equipment when we come to pick him up, landing on his back, and yelping with no carefulness from staff.
When we first started coming here, we were told his harness would be taken off daily. But day after day, it would come back ratted and chewed on in places that our pup couldn't reach by himself. We were once assured that the harness would be taken off one day, but picked him up to find a it practically in pieces and almost unusable, to which they replied they had no idea what we were talking about. There was a large strip missing, which means they would have had to pick it up off the playroom floor...30 bucks down the drain.
Same thing with a bandana. It was completely destroyed, but still on his neck, which seems to me like other dogs had been yanking him around all day. I asked the staff member about the bandana and she laughed, shrugged, and then said, "Some dogs were pulling on it."...it takes a little more than a tug to do the damage that this bandana had done to it...!
When we bring our dog in for a fitness hour, we keep track of exactly when he is dropped off. We had been five minutes late picking him up, (which they're okay with) but was told I owed for a half-day. They claimed we were over half an hour late picking him up, because the worker did not punch the time in when we initially dropped him off, and were adamant about telling me I was wrong.
There were a few times when our dog would come home, and would seem as if he had been kenneled up all day. It's pretty apparent when he's been playing for hours, so when he still has full energy at 6:30, something's up. Of course, they would deny this.
Anytime I brought up any of these concerns with staff, I would be treated like a nagging customer who was over-exaggerating. And in turn, feel like it was held against our dog in terms of his care, which is completely unacceptable and upsetting to even think about.
These issues have repeated themselves time and time again in the FEW months that we have been going here.
Please consider not giving your business to Prairie Dog's and go literally anywhere else in town.

Without Prairie Dog, our special needs dog would likely not be here. Anyone coming in to PD knows our whippet, Gatsby. He has severe separation anxiety and cannot safely be kenneled or crated. 2.5 years ago, they were the only daycare in town that would accommodate our request to have him never be crated. Instead, they replaced and raised their gates to prevent him from jumping, bought him a cozy bed, and allowed him to be their greeter! When he was diagnosed with epilepsy, the staff graciously and happily learned how to administer his emergency rectal diazepam, as well as keep track of how long, at what time, and the presentation of his seizures. Kelsey, a staff member, barred other people from entering when he had a severe seizure to keep him safe until the seizure passed (two minutes or so). Gatsby stops breathing during seizure, so without supervision, gatsby could easily pass away. We leave Gatsby with the daycare staff Monday through Friday, eight hours a day, five days a week and never think twice or worry about the care he would receive. Without PD, Gatsby would not be here.

Very rude, quoted me 45 for my dogs hair cut and it ends up being more. They cut my dog in a number of spots. Bleeding from his noise. Do not recommend this place.

Disappointing. I brought my dog in for a full service groom - bath, brush, nails, teeth, etc. When I arrived, while the staff was cordial, I felt like my dog was ripped out of my arms and a clipboard shoved in my face to sign and "just go." The greeting felt more like someone that really hated having to be at work than someone that loved dogs. After an hour and a half of grocery shopping I didn't want to drive all the way home so I went back and sat in the lobby, saying specifically to take your time, I will just hang out. Now, I know there are all kind of dogs and temperaments but the barks and whines coming from the back seemed a bit more stressed than I would expect. The play rooms were empty and packed up rather than any boarded dogs being allowed to run. I'm quite certain I could hear my own dog crying and yelping as well. When she was brought out to me she was frantic, her harness was on incorrectly and the bandana she had been given was too tight and nearly choking her. To be clear, I do NOT believe she was hurt but I'm not certain she was treated all that well either. Her nails are nicely trimmed and clean and she had been shampooed and spritzed so I believe the details of the service were in place however I don't think I will be back. I need to have the assurance that the staff loves all dogs and will treat them as such, not just a chore and a paycheck.

NEVER bring your dog here. Just picked my dog up from here after having her boarded here for a few days. Her left eye is bloodshot and she's weezing. I'm no expert but sure looks to me that she has been choked in some sort of way. Not to mention she had fecies matted in her fur that they didn't bother to clean out. This place is absolutely worthless. If you care for your animal don't bring them here!!!!
