Petco Animal Supplies

Well I have had better experience else where. The staff was awesome and very nice but the quality of grooming was poor. I have two dogs and usually it takes 3-4 hours (closer to 4). They called me to pick them up after less than two and half hours. I got them and they smelled great but I could tell they were not brushed well and still were shedding quite a bit. And I paid for the whole nine yards. Altogether it was 175$. The Petco on Milwaukee does a much better job. I just thought I’d give this location a try, won’t be doing that again.

It makes me sad that I am giving this store only a 3 star. I actually really like this store and all the cute little animals. But one of the people who worked there made me feel really uncomfortable. I took my 3 year old and my 2 month old to go get my dog food that I had a coupon for. I figured we would all have a good time checking out the animals. My 2 month old started screaming so I picked her up and was moving my stroller with one hand, holding her in the other. I was also trying to look up the dog food to make sure I was getting the right one. I wasn't paying attention to my 3 year old all I knew was that he was standing in my peripheral vision. Apparently he had taken one of the stickers off that had the price from the dog food down. Some lady came in and picked it up and put it back. Didn't think much of it so I continued to do what I was doing while rocking my baby so she wouldn't scream. When the lady came back and my son had another sticker in his hand. She grabbed it out of his hand said to him "dude don't take the sticker off again" and then looked at me like I was a horrible parent. She was very rude about it and i did feel like a horrible parent at the time. I have worked in customer service and this was not very good customer service. Wait until we leave the isle to come pick it up the measly sticker. Don't take things from someone's kid you don't know. And do not be rude to the parent of a crying baby. I almost left and went to another pet store for the food because I felt horrible. It wasn't until later that I realized it was her being a B not me or my 3 year old. I wish I had gotten her name but she made me feel so bad that I just wanted to leave.

Staff is always friendly and very helpful. Does not sell any food, treats, etc from China. I feel they have my dog's health and well being as their top priority.

My little cocker spaniel had been out of my care for 4 months. I got her back and she was really matted. I called to make an appointment with a groomer and was told I needed to make sure her rabies vaccine was up to date. I called at least 10 vet offices and finally found one that could give her the shot right away. I did so. I called back to the groomer and explained she was really matted. He made me the appointment for 10 on Sunday. I drove from Caldwell to Meridian Sunday morning, took her in and he said, We just have her down for a shampoo. I reminded him of the conversation..i.e. matting and he said he would just shave her.... He said they couldn't do it, that I would need to take her to a vets to have her groomed. ???? Why didn't he say do so the first place? Because who ever made the appointment didn't write it down right. All that trouble for nothing. I will never go to another Petco for anything.

Shopping here makes one want to use online service. Locating items and pricing with no customer service until register...
