The first time I brought my puppy there it was to buy her shampoo because she smelled like the barn the seller kept her in. They wound up selling me this puppy adoption book with coupons. It cost 20 dollars. The shampoo they recommended of course didn't have a coupon in the book. And the food was way over priced even with the coupon. It also gave my dog the runs. I was going to bring it back and ask for at least a partial refund but I was told that when you return food they destroy it instead of donating it to any of the local shelters. Also the sales rep from blue buffalo followed me around the store asking every employee to pet my dog and kept trying to get me to buy things I was not interested in. It was slightly awkward the way she was interacting with my dog. I took my dog to pet valu a few days later where they gave me a free puppy adoption booklet which included a free dog tag and a free bag of their brand dog food which seems to be of a higher quality. And they also donate any returned food. They also have a points program where every 3 or 4 bags you buy you get 1 free. And the Phillipsburg location also had a bunch of bags that were half off because the "best by" date was coming up soon even though the food was still perfectly fine for another year. And overall just seemed more knowledgeable and helpful and happy. So I'm done shopping with pet smart

Makes me terrified to bring my puppy to any pet smart location, even just to get toys or food.

Apalling. Disgusting. I honestly don’t know how you can kill dogs and then have the audacity to not tell the pet owners what you did to MURDER THEIR PET!!!

My mother's friend lost her dog due to the miscare of this particular establishments actions. Will never use petsmart for anything.
