Do you travel without your pets? Do you miss your pets at home like I do? When I get that "feeling" of needed fur baby attention - I go to the local Humane Society.
Pinellas County has an AWESOME policy, pick a dog, take it in our fenced yard for a walk, play ball, hug it, give that homeless pet some much needs LOVE! When I'm done giving the dog exercise, I left a $20 donation and I can survive my trip without my fur babies.
Homeless pet need love to!

Great place, great people!
I adopted a pitbull from here. She is the sweetest dog I've ever seen. The employees are very friendly and informative. The facility is very well maintained. I was able to adopt my dog, with vaccinations, behavioral testing, food, leash, toys, county registration, microchip, and sterilization, for only $40!
I visited about 5 local shelters, and interacted with multiple dogs before choosing my dog from this facility.
This is yet another example of Pinellas County FL providing services above and beyond what you would come to expect from other Florida county-level government services.

Great place to adopt a dog from. Reasonable prices extra goodies and most of all your saving a dog's life you're giving him what he deserves. I'm sure none of those dogs did anything to deserve to be on death row.

I lost my dog and animal services picked him up. I was very worried. They called and emailed me immediately. He was safe and warm. Animal services provided low cost rabies shots too. The facility looks very clean and state of the art.

This is a very special animal shelter. It is kept clean and inviting to attend. As to the dogs that are housed for adoption the stalls are equally clean and odorless. They allow the dogs to be taken out with a leach to pens for closer examination and evaluation. The staff is friendly and very supportive in their effort to place their precious charges.
