SPCA Florida Adoption Center

As a repeat customer I have had my pets to the Lakeland SPCA location several times. I used to prefer to use them because they seemed very honest. However each and every time I go to an appointment if it is a 245 appointment, my pet is not seen until 330 or in he case today with a 245 appointment it is now 3:52 as I write this and still have not seen the vet. While the honesty of this establishment is appreciated, the consistent disregard for the time of the customers is astonishing. I come 25 miles for this however today will be the last visit. I’m sure I can find an honest vet office in Plant City that does in fact respect the time of its customers as well as honestly and integrity in treating my pets. So far 2:45 APPOINTMENT ...it’s 3:54 and have not seen the vet.

A very very clean place did not smell at all when we came through they had medium dogs more older than the younger ones but they were still healthy and that a good age they have cats from I don't know what age of babies up tuna adulthoods. More adult cats then little ones all excellent care. Very nice place to go and just look who knows you may come home with the new friend.

Amazing place with amazing employees & volunteers! I couldn't believe how clean everything is. The summer of 2011 we found an abandoned dog in our neighborhood. She collapsed outside our home due to the heat. Animal Control took her & said since she was part pit bull, she'd be put down in 3 days! I frantically called SPCA & dealt with Martha. She arranged for "Honey" to be brought to SPCA! We visited "Honey" before her surgery. If I recall, she was adopted within 1 week. I knew she was safe & cared for at SPCA.

The shelter is staffed by an attentive and loving group of volunteers. It is evident of the love of their job working with relinquished dogs and cats. The facility is SPOTLESS. Each volunteer takes the time to acknowledge each animal as they pass by. I only wish it was an empty location and all the fur babies had their forever homes.

This place has been a lifesaver for me and my animals. Connie Johnson is the nicest person ever. She fights for the animals and their rights right. The volunteer there are always friendly. And that makes for a great atmosphere and I'm sure that's because of their characters the animals are well taken care of. This is a place to save an animal's life and adopt if you are looking for a pet and a part of your family
