So, I honestly want to give less but I don't want people to stop adopting from here so it is a very mixed feeling. My fiance and I went to drop of bags of supplies for the animals because we saw they were without a lot of things like sheets and towels. The lady at the front was very nice and told us to feel free to visit the animals. We decided to say hi because we had never been there and drove 2 hours to get there.
Normally we donate to local shelters but came up with a special collection because they were in need. There was a man in the back with the cats and he was just so condescending and rude.
I WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO INTERACT WITH THE CATS UNLESS YOU ARE ADOPTING THAT CAT.
I wanted to bold that to make it clear how ridiculous that sentiment is. They say it is to keep from us giving germs to the cats yet you can touch if you buy. There are also at least a half a dozen, if not more, hand sanitizing stations in that room. So the animals who have been abandoned and need love, are not allowed to be loved. That's pretty depressing to see cats crying and rubbing against the cage and you can't touch or show love at all. I have volunteered at many shelters and I have to say no loving on the animals is the first time I have encountered that at a shelter.
Back to the dude, he was just rude to everyone. I really felt bad for the volunteers he was "training." I could overhear him telling them things like not to attempt to get a cat if it gets out magically. That he has never seen a volunteer be able to know how to get a cat. He then spent like 4 minutes emphasizing how incompetent volunteers are and he is just so fantastic at what he does and he is paid to be there so he knows best. That dude needs a reality check. He also asked if we wanted to adopt when we came in the cat room and we said we just wanted to say hi (since we drove 2 hours there) and said, "oh just browsing?" and I said, "I guess, just wanted to see some cute kitties" Of course, little did I know that you can't actually go near the cats. Then he very loudly says like a minute later to his volunteers "People don't come here to just browse. If they say that, they are lying." Then the dude yelled at me cause a cat outstretched his paw and touched my arm from where I was standing at the bars and I tapped its paw and said hi. Then he spent like another minute scolding me not to touch the animals. So there's that. Never been to an anti love shelter before. The whole keeping germs is B.S because they had a cat with FIV right next to other cat cages. It also seems unhelpful to show abused and abandoned animals no love.

I am a long time member of Pet Alliance (previously the Humane Society) and I have had numerous occasions to visit.
All of my pets are spayed or neutered. My sweet little baby who always made me smile has his picture on a tile on the wall. He died so young and got the best treatment thereeven though he didn't make it.
I have turned in several cats that I rescued, had spayed or neutered, had all the shots, etc. and even though it was heartbreaking to give them up after such a while, I knew they would get the best home ever and that made me thankful.
I will continue to support the Pet Alliance and with 16 cats still in my possession, I am sure I will be making use of their facilities for a long time to come.

I adopted my handsome Fabio from here. So i am forever thankful for them, however before you adopt any animal from here please make sure they ran all the proper test of the animal. I adopted Fabio and they said he was negative for feline aids but i took him to my vet and they did blood work on him just to make sure he was in the best heath and we found out he was positive for feline aids. There is more to the story but just make sure they are adopting you a healthy animal.

I have had nothing but good experiences with the Orlando Pet Alliance.
Everyone is very nice and very very helpful and that is very much appreciated.
I am a C.A.R.E. TNR person and usually use the Sanford Pet Alliance because it's closer and have nothing but good things to say about both locations and the people staff at both locations.
Thanks again to all of you you helped make a difference in the lives of these little homeless cats.
Thanks!

The staff and Volunteers here go above and beyond to create a welcoming and wonderful environment for those looking to adopt. Their doggos and cats have a shorter time in shelter because of just how dedicated those at this non profit are!
We have the opportunity to volunteer with a group and I'm ready to go back and do some more work with them!
