Planned Parenthood - Salem Center

The level of care and compassion here is unmatched. After an emotionally catastrophic and financially ruining experience at Salem Health ER 3 weeks ago, my only regret is not coming here first, but sadly at 1am on a Saturday, your options are limited. Anyway, the providers here are compassionate, nonjudgmental and just downright easy to be around. I sobbed, I was a mess after dealing with a problem for 3 weeks and FINALLY felt like I was getting the care I needed and frankly, the care I deserve. Calling and making an appointment was a piece of cake. Got in same day. I waited about 25 min past my appointment time to be called back, but was seen within 10 minutes once I was in a room. The NP spent 30-45 min with me and I can never thank her enough. I really hope these crazy fundies never get their hands on planned parenthood and defund them because this organization is what all women and all people for that matter, need. Thanks y’all.

I have visited this office many times for birth control and emergency contraceptives. I am extremely thankful for everything they do here. Every nurse I had was very kind and made sure I was comfortable during each visit. Sometimes the wait can be a while depending on how busy they are, but I always come out happy! Highly recommend this location!

They were so kind, gentle, and listened to all of my health issues and took all of them seriously. They knew I was nervous and they comforted me, and made it seem like a breeze. I was in and out very quickly. Will come back for other health care needs!

No wonder so many people want to defund planned parenthood! This place is a joke! My experience was alright a few months back, the few people I came in contact with were lovely. However, my husband had an appointment and was told wait in the car due to COVID and they'd call him back in 5 to 10 minutes, mind you that was just for a consultation. FIFTY MINUTES LATER I call the number and the lady says "We tell everyone it could take 1 to 2 hours." Really? I would have NEVER made the appointment in the first place because he had epilepsy specialist appointments afterwards that we had to get to.

Usually have had great experiences here with very friendly and helpful doctors and staff, my latest experience not so much. I came in for a very quick type of visit and waited over an hour for my appointment because an office staff person didn't check me in, which later I heard them joking about. I appreciate everything planned parenthood does, but my time is just as important theirs.

The first time I visited here the doctor I saw was very rude and accusing my boyfriend of cheating repeatedly. When I went back for my follow up they ended up not doing anything and I had to go back in a third and fourth time before the issue was resolved. The ladies at the desk are really nice and helpful, the nurses can be a bit rude but one provider in particular is just flat out mean when you see her. Also they can't keep there Billing straight they have such a hard time refunding any money as well. It took me a week to get back the extra they charged me I had to call every single day just to make sure they where actually going to do it.

The staff were very friendly, and accommodating; from the moment I walked inside to the moment I left. They went out of their way to make me feel comfortable, answered every question knowledgeably, and very were patient with me. Jade stood out though, and was there with me every step of the way. I would leave her a 10 star rating if I could!

Great back staff!! Everyone is very caring. The providers and very knowledgeable and really take the time to help every patient they see. Even though it sucked getting my IUD placed they all were super sweet and held my hand!! Planned Parenthood is a very valuable resource for the Salem community.

Had an excellent experience at the health center. The staff and providers were very knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. Everyone was understanding and easy to speak with. Since PP is available to anyone, the wait time may be a bit long. But the quality of care I received was outstanding.
