Plowboys BBQ

This place is easily the star of barbecue in Blue Springs (maybe the only one, really) and a serious contender for some of the best barbecue in the whole Kansas City area. There's a good variety in menu items, from a plate of Burnt Ends that's too good to pass up, to barbecue nachos that make you wonder if you need another meal for the day. Cost is a little high on some of the options, like the ones listed above, but don't worry. You get well worth the value and then some. Leaving anything less than stuffed is practically impossible. If you love it even just like barbecue, you owe it to yourself to try Plowboys out if you're in the area. And if you're in Kansas City, you can visit the remote location on Main Street for a worth while barbecue fix for lunch.

I have been in BS for 4 years now. I work in the food industry....and I know food. Plowboys BBQ is some of the best bbq I've ever had. Yeah Jack Stack is my best, but Plowboys is Damn good. I always order the burnt ends and Brisket and Cheesy Potatoes. Never had a bad experience there. Staff is very friendly and the food is Awesome! Living in Blue Springs it's hard to find a BBQ place close by...they are 5 min from my house. I'm happy to spend my money there. If u haven't tried them I say u need too.

Plowboys has good food but it's not our favorite. It seems a little pricey for the quality of BBQ. It has more of a fast food feel to it. (I believe it's in an old Wendy's building.) The sweet potato fries are very good. The regular fries have seasoning sprinkled on them. So if you don't like seasoned fries, remember to request without any. (Sorry, forgot to take pictures of our food.) The building and parking is handicap accessible.

I've been here several times and can't say that it is my favorite. It is not bad, but I feel like a bbq place should really know how to prepare burnt ends and brisket and both times I've ordered, my dish was just not up to par. I'm also not a sweet sauce person and they do not offer anything except sweet. I am sure they would be a favorite of many others, as the food is obviously prepared with a lot of care and pride. The restaurant and staff are nice as well.

AWESOME! Really good food all the time. Just wished the sides weren't so small. Great selection sauce.
