Pop's Ice Cream

I love this place more for more than just their Ice creams. Never have I ever seen such a homely environment in a restaurant/eatery. Owners serve you like they are your own. Always smiling and welcoming. Even when you enter they are always looking at the door and greet you when you come in. About the ambiance, I love the retro Jazz classics playing in the back. It totally feels as if you are in 80s or 90s. I appreciate each little details in terms of customer service. Definitely recommend this place (If you want to strike a conversation and just relax, I would suggest you to go in the afternoon. It is not that busy and you can really relax and sit)

We visited Pop's right around noon on a Wednesday and there was no crowd at all.....only a few other tables were occupied. There's a great selection of sodas, floats, malts, and milkshakes along with other ice cream. We had the Three Cheese and Hold the Cheese grilled sandwiches and thoroughly enjoyed them.....washed it all down with a cola soda and a Purlpe Cow! VERY friendly folks at Pop's! We will visit again when traveling through Roanoke!

Charming ice cream parlor nestled along Memorial Ave. The ice cream is as it should be: real cream and real sugar from Homestead Creamery. Our only regret, that we could afford the calories to have a scoop of each flavor! The staff was kind and friendly - recommend Pop’s!

Great ice cream and throw-back soda fountain. Not too many flavor selections but quality was top notch.

My mom and I stopped in for a late lunch today and each had a grilled cheese (my mom had the delux and I had the Swiss with the avocado and artichokes). She got a chocolate milkshake (which was to die for) and I got a cream soda. The food was absolutely fantastic as was the customer service and environment! I can’t rave enough about this place!
