Passing through Alpine. Need some groceries, Porter's has good selection and good hours.

Very good employees in all of the locations (except one or two in Ft. Davis). Make sure to check expiration dates on products though. I have come home with expired products on three occasions (not bad considering it has only been three times in a span of several years).

A very nice grocery store in the last normal town in West Texas. If you're from East Texas, this will remind you of a Brookshire Brothers or a B and B. Very clean and a good selection of groceries, and prices are reasonable. Probably the best place to grab some provisions before heading south to BBNP and Terlingua.
