Potato Creek State Park

Love it here. Public Access swimming and fishing areas. Parks nature center and plenty of pavilions and public grills. Very reasonable to get in ,7 for Indiana vehicles and 9 for out of state. You pay by the car not the people. They even have a very nice family campground for tents and RVs. Horse trails and bike trails and nature trails.

Way bigger then I thought. The beach area gives you great views of the lake and is a pretty nice spot to have a picnic. The trails are nice and laid out so you won't get lost and they have differnt levels so you can go from easy to hard hikes. The cemetery was a pretty interesting site. Not many parks have a cemetery right smack in the middle of it. I highly recommend checking this place out if your into the great outdoors

The park and area are nice. The campground is clean and orderly. Stayed 3 nights Thursday thru Sunday, Campsites are electric only, some power supplies are no where near the pad provided. The shower house drain backs up, and the dump station cannot handle the amount of campers on a weekend stay. Facilities are not adequate for the amount of people using the park.

Very underrated State Park. I saw an Osprey died and catch a fish in the lake. If I was living in this area longer, I would love to go there and enjoy all the great programs they have. It is beautiful, especially in the spring and summer.

Nice views. Trails are marked decently along the way but unless you know where one starts or have a map you are mostly guess. Trail is maintained well and so are the bridges and stair areas on trail 1 or 2. Nice place for a day visit.
