We went out for a day on the lake, or should I say puddle. The lake wherever put in the boat was about 2' deep with all kinds of junk sticking out of the water, not to mention vegetation growing up out of the water. When I went to the office to voice my opinion, they told me that they knew that the lake was only about 18" deep and gave me my money back for the boat rental. They told me that they were told when the dam was put in that it would have to be dredged in 50 years...and it's been 60 years now!!!

I came here for the bike trails and was not disappointed there were plenty of trails for beginner intermediate and experienced Riders. Well I wish there were more obstacles there were still some challenging yet fun man-made components to the trails. Cool that off in the pool afterwards and hung out by the lake until it was time to go home had an amazing time will definitely be coming back.

I hiked trail 1 and it was rugged, which is what I liked to hike. I went past the part where it looped back to Oak Grove shelter where the car was parked. I didn't see the marker or there wasn't one and ended up on 2 by the Trailside shelter. Otherwise, nice.

Very nice park, great place to launch kayaks, very clean but some of the shelters are missing trash cans. Also, know what you want to do heading in because kayak and boat rentals happen at the front gate-not near where the boats are so you'll need to take paddles and life vests back to the front gate after.
