Pennsylvania's only President ( our 15th). I study history and I found this museum worth the time. Staff and tour guide are very informative. Reasonable price.

A great place to go. Staff were friendly, and the grounds and mansion were beautiful. Not to mention the artifacts.

Very modern museum on location that highlights some of Pennsylvania and Lancaster' county history. The guided tour of the Buchanan house was very well done. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and professional. The mansion is nothing exceptional to see. But you do learn a bit about some of America's somewhat obscure history. Allow approximately 2 hours for your total visit.

Nothing outstanding or super special here but it gives you a great perspective of Buchanan and his life.

This is not a bad place to spend the day. There are a lot of original pieces of our former president and everything is very well preserved. They have a lot of pieces still in restoration which you can see behind glass windows in the museam portion of the tour. The downside is you cant get close enough to enjoy them. This would also be better of it wasnt the property of one of the worst US presidents.
