I have been a long time patient here, but after how I was treated yesterday I am seriously considering other care options. Every month I pay more that what is on my minimum payment plan. Recently I fell on some hard times and changed jobs. I was low on cash and missed a payment on this account. When I spoke with their billing department they were anything but compassionate. Yesterday I was forced to almost empty my checking account in order to make the full payment of this month and the month I missed or she threatened to send my account to a collections agency. OVER ONE MISSED MONTH. I cried on the phone, we can all relate as to how frustrating money problems can be, but Providence hospital doesn't care about your hard times, they just want their money.

It's been almost 6 weeks since my accident it was my 1st experience at a hospital not in my home state. I was rescued by the EMS team in Hood River from the Eagle Creek Trail with a severe dislocation , R ankle fracture which later showed on a CT to have 5 fractures, and brought to Providence Hood River Hospital. Although I have worked as a Healthcare professional in many Hospitals over 40 years in the Chicago metro area working in many different capacities in healthcare, since retired 2 years ago. The Drs., Nurse Anesthetist, RN's, techs, and EMS team that rescued and took care of me were all very professional and understanding of what I needed to reduce any more damage to my ankle. My surgeon in Orthopaedics who specializes in foot and ankle surgery commented on the great job the Hood River Dr. did in manipulating my snkle back into position to avoid further damage. Thank you, thank you all for a job well done.

By far the best care I have ever received from a hospital. The labor and delivery staff were absolutely incredible, and as I was there for a few days each rotation of nurses were equally as kind and compassionate as the ones before. Everything about the experience I had at Providence Hood River Hospital was absolutely wonderful from the second I walked through the door.
