I’m compelled to share a positive experience to balance out some of the negative I see here. I had a work-mandated test to take so I made an appointment a day in advance. My check-in experience at the kiosk was smooth. My appointment started on time, my tech was great, and I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Couldn’t have been more straightforward.
If u need an alternative lab to go to: Enzo Clinical Labs. This place looks clean, there’s no check-in kiosk so you just have to pray the iPad is working. It took me 8 minutes to check in, but was called in soon after. I was nice to my nurse, I was happy to see that despite the bad reviews the place seemed promising. Boy was I wrong. The nurse was an absolute dreadful human, she was immediately rude, when she saw the large scrip I had, she sighed and said “all of this?”. Then proceeded to rip my ID from my hands and said some things under her breath. I got up and refused her service. I’m not gonna let someone like that get near me with needles! I’m sure she hates her job and misery loves company — but we’re not here for fun, we need patient, caring people who will care for us and make this a decent experience. It’s called health care for a reason.
Unprofessional company. You can’t call a representative when you need to know vital information. The staff’s handling of my lab was ridiculous, they kept having to redo the needle insertion for a blood draw blaming it on me even though I’ve gotten this many times with no problem of extraction.
As far as Quest Diagnostics in Manhattan go, I think this one is one of the better locations. They're fairly punctual, professional, and communicative. The bathroom and some areas are dirty I removed a star for that but overall I had no issues here. After having a nightmare wait time at some of the other locations around, I'm just glad this one follows the appointment schedule order. There are a few staff present which means they are regularly taking in patients, doors open at the correct time 8AM, and if they're ahead of the schedule and you check in early, they can usually see you before your appointment time. Definitely try to go in the morning as any delay/patient backlog will snowball by the afternoon.
I wish I could give 0 star to this site. Just like what a lot others have experienced, the staff is rude and inefficient. The bathroom is dirty. Avoid this site if you can.
Terrible, dirty and waited 35 min to drop off a sample. Unbelievably inefficient. Do not utilize this location.
2 solid hours there - for blood tests, not open heart surgery. Staff is pleasant but place is way understaffed and inefficient. Avoid if you can. Get an appointment if you can’t, but don’t make any other plans for the day... and when the screen says 12 minutes, assume triple.
Thank you so much quest diagnostics for helping me today, specially the technician Joya. She really helped me with the process towards getting Covid testing for my daughter. I am on vacation and my daughter is about to have her ACL surgery next week. It was hard for me to roam here and there to find the right place to get it done especially the day being Saturday. Joya was really friendly and eager to help. Glad to see good people still exist.
Contrary to the reviews here, I actually had a very quick and pleasant experience here today. Had an appointment at 3:15, got there about 15 minutes early, checked in, and was seen about 5/10 minutes later, before my actual appointment! The woman who helped me out also explained everything to me very well, and made the whole process easy and painless. No complaints here
Incredibly mismanaged. When I get there at 11:10 for my 11:15 appointment, people with 9:00am appointments had not been seen yet. They told the 9am appointments that their names got “lost” in the system. I was not seen until 12:45. The staff were nice but the place is a disaster.
