I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ashley!!! After 3 sad months, 4 hair salons, and hundreds of dollars less, Ashley was the one who saved my curls after the first stylist I went to for my ‘big chop’ completely ruined my hair cut (been transitioning for a year). I went to salons with great reviews and advertised as natural hair salons but still got disappointed and felt uncomfortable wearing my natural hair out. Ashley did a blow out and I was shocked to see the magnitude of the disaster. She cut my hair just the way I wanted and then did a wash n go before I left so I would feel confident that I’m finally leaving a salon feeling happy with my hair cut. Before she started she pulled up pictures herself to let me know what she thinks would work great with what I showed to her, what I wanted in addition to pictures and what was left of my curls. Im sad that I will be moving out of state soon, now that I found a great stylist but I’m actually thinking about catching a budget flight from Texas once or twice a year to have Ashley do my hair, since it will probably save me money, curls, and disappointment!!! Great salon overall, very clean, professional staff and awesome products. The prices are great too! Environmental friendly. The staff also really tried their best to fit me in since the online schedule only showed one available appointment for the day I was off and that time wasn’t working for me. A wonderful, welcoming, stress and worry- free experience... ❤️ My only regret: I wish I went to this salon right away to cut off my permed hair..

Love this salon. Been going here for a year and I enjoy myself everytime. My hair is better conditioned. Still getting use to having medium length straight hair. I love the hair stylist. Pure perfection.

Clean, professional, and very gentle with natural hair. Definitely recommend this hair salon for a nice blowout and trim. My new go to place for special occasions.

My appointment couldn't have gone better. I came from New York to DC for the weekend and was pleased to find this salon: I was so impressed with their mission statement and the reviews I came across, I had to check it out. The salon is clean with a friendly and peaceful atmosphere, despite the fact that it was a quite busy. I had a cut and blowout with a deep conditioning treatment. My stylist was so gentle and patient, she made my experience very relaxing and soothing. She was skilled and, though I only had a vague idea of what I wanted, she managed to deliver above and beyond. I was extremely happy with the haircut and style. My hair has never looked so healthy and full of life, which i think, is also a testament to the quality of the products used. All in all, the whole experience felt like a treat and I would happily make the trip from New York again to get my hair done. Many Thanks to Rachel Joyce Salon! Keep up the good work.

I left a review on the salon after my second visit. The cut I received didn't seem right at first but after getting it straightened i felt more at ease. Now that it has been several months after the cut I see why I didn't like it. The cut is in fact extremely short all the way around my head with the outside layer remains long. My hair is resilient and will grow back but I wouldn't recommend the lady I used for cuts. But everything else about my experience was really wonderful especially the products.
