Recess Beer Garden

Went to recess after the derby. Thought it would be a good time but after waiting 30 minutes in line, I jumped up some bricks that were next to the stairs as a joke. The bouncer ‘Danny’ freaked out after my friend did it after me. I understand that is could have been an unsafe thing to do, but he was in a horrible mood and you could tell. After apologizing for just having fun and staying the fact that is was a joke, he sent our friend to the end of the line (which would be 30 minute wait). I wish Danny would have been more respectful and warned us the first time, instead of being completely rude about it. When I say I’m sorry I expect him to say ‘thank you please don’t do it again’ . Management- please change the attitude of this person. They shouldn’t be working a holiday or big event if they are in a bad mood. We left and didn’t bother giving our money to recess. The other bouncer didn’t agree with his decision based on our conversation. My advise, Maybe you should have warned us first, and not threatened to kick us out when we told you it was a ‘dare’. Just lost a lot of respect for this place when I come here often....

This is a great place to go with friends especially if you’re a larger group. Even when they’re pretty busy you don’t end up waiting that long which I thought was nice. They’ve got a great selection of drinks and they even have a few ciders, I was very happy with the visit! I highly suggest the corn dog or the pretzel plate if you’re in need of a snack.

Used to be fun. Too hard to get a drink anymore. Food is ok. Don't go at lunch. Service is ridiculous. Always. Unless you have two hours that is.... Cool place to hang out. Nice beer garden and always improving.

Very chic place. I love the ambiance, fireplace and lighting in the patio. The food was really good. The waitress didn't seem quite friendly. The crowd was young. Good spot in highlands for day and night fun.

We came here on St Patrick’s Day weekend, it was within walking distance of the condo we were staying at and it had good reviews. You have to be in the mood for the “bar” atmosphere if you’re wanting to come here. It was St Patrick’s Day weekend AND March Madness was on, so we were more understanding about the busyness. Service was great! There was a lot of outdoor seating to watch the game on the big screen. Lots of different beers served that are brewed in Colorado, which we love. We ordered burgers before having a couple beers and they were phenomenal. All around awesome nightlife at this place!
