Red Lobster

The Morgan Realty Team planned this dinner event for 2 months. We had discussed what we were going to eat many times over the two Months prior. Finally the evening arrived and we drove the 20 miles from Portales, NM to the Red Lobster Location in Clovis, NM. We arrived Tuesday evening at 5 pm. Things were not too busy yet ,and the staff was very pleasant and the seemed to be well prepared and eagerly waiting to serve us our meals. When the menus arrived I was surprised the the large variety. I like shrimp the most, but I chose the Lobster Supreme plate to expand my seafood tastes. The food was excellent. We were waited on by our host and servers without exception. Even as it was getting very busy. I thought we were ready to go, but when dessert was suggested by our server, one of my co-workers ordered us a hot brownie with Ice Cream, Chocolate and Whip cream. The 4 of us shared it. Delicious! As we were ready to leave the General Manager came by our table and asked how our meals were and if everything was to our liking. We all thanked him and complimented the food and the staff. You could tell he was very comfortable in his business. I believe he has been the General Manager 15 years. Job well done to Red Lobster and especially to the Clovis Ship.

Great service this afternoon. I’m digging the new “tapas” menu though it’s very limited (five items). We ordered all five - all were a bit spicy for our liking except the lobster/shrimp roll which was excellent.

The server went way out of her way to make sure we had a pleasant experience. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the food had a really good taste. We'll be coming back.

Seated quickly. Drink order taken fairly soon. Had to wait in excess of 8 minutes for drinks. Almost 20 minutes before we ordered. That's when the experience went down hill. I ordered a chef's special. The waitress took the order and left. Then someone else came to the table and told me they hadn't had that for awhile. It ruined the entire meal for myself. I also took exception to how he told me. He was leaning into the booth hoovering over me. Not really a comfortable way to talk to someone. Completely invading my personal space. He was also VERY blunt about it. The food was ok, but nothing to write home about. Eat here at your own risk. The wait staff don't know the menus and the customer service is mechanical. Only reason for the 2 star, the last time I ate there....

This once was our go to place when the Seafood Jones got really strong. Not so much anymore. Two days ago I took a party in and the service involved three different persons, none of which really had a clue. The last price bump combined with merely ordinary taste seems to be telling me to look to other seafood places.
