REI

Had to find several small items and was scouring the displays. Was approached by three different employees to offer help. Quinn the cashier helped me figure out the best way to maximize use of the 20% off coupon so that I saved as much as possible. That's why I have been a member here since '91. Love REI!

I bought a Mt bike there & the bike was great (Marin model). I brought the bike in for maintenance & repair & was told by one guy that he thought he had fixed the problem but if it persisted to come back & they’d replace it. It failed, I came back & the guy didn’t want to get in trouble (I guess) so he denied it. The manager was a complete schmuck & for a $30-$40 part from Marin Bikes, lost a $7-$10,000/yr customer.... not too bright. I just go in, see what I want & order it from Amazon Prime. The insulting of my integrity was the obvious issue. Amazing no memo has ever gone out with basic manners outlined.

Exceptional service. Jensen helped me fix a bike issue while I waited. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Thanks much. I'll be back.

I am now a member and this was the first time visit g a REI store. I took a brake from work went to the store to get sone camping equipment and had a very strange expierence. First to find am employee to help me find what I was looking for but the sales rep had no idea what I was looking for even though it was right next to what he was trying to sell me. I was look to buy an alchohal burning stove and he actually told me they didn’t sell achohal burning stoves. Even though they have guilt containers and all the accessories for them and like I said what do you know they actually had what I wanted just like the web site said. Then I was followed around the store by some old decrepit jerkwho actually suggested I didn’t look like sone one who could afford what they were selling. That it is common policy to help people closely who might not be able to afford things at their store. This is actually how people are treated in marin. I work at a cabinet shop and probibky make more than the maniger of the store. I am offended.
