Was out in Baton Rogue for a business trip and they put me up at the Residence Inn while I was out there. Couldn't have asked for a nicer and more spacious room. Really liked this location as it was close by the office and within walking distance of several different food places. The bed was comfortable even with my back problems and the only noise I heard from other rooms was slight noise in the bathroom (but not nearly as bad as a lot of other hotels). Would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful atmosphere. Accomodating. My 7 year old daughter loves the atmosphere and location.

WARNING!! If you want breakfast get down to the breakfast room 30mins prior to the time breakfast closes. They quit restocking breakfast WAY to early!!! Both dates of May 11th, and 12th there was nothing to eat of the than some nasty looking egg whites. No waffle mix. No muffins. No new meats. Do not expect a good breakfast. And the trash remained full the whole time I was "trying" to create a meal out of the scrapes they left for the dogs to eat. Bottom line....go out for breakfast. -Jacob The bed was spring based.

Everything was fine, staff is friendly, and the free breakfast is on point, but this is the 2nd year in a row we've stayed here and both times it smelled like urine throughout all of the hallways.

We always try to stay at Residence Inns because of past positive experiences over many years and the amenities, but this hotel has changed our minds. The front desk staff and Earl were terrific, however, they can only work with what they have. This hotel is very old, dated, unclean. The housekeeping staff was awful. Left dirty dishes and used coffee and did not bother to clean. Did not replenish necessities. Had to have keys replaced three times because they would not work. Elevator worked sporadically. Complementary breakfast consisted of runny eggs, cold food, brown bananas, and very weak coffee that ran out. Evening social was a joke and only occurred on Wednesdays. Very nice staff but again, they can only do so much with what they have. Marriott should revisit having this hotel listed as one of their properties. It most definitely does not measure up. Save yourself the trouble and inconvenience and stay somewhere else.
