Beautiful scenery and a lot of challenges. Great cycling, bring plenty of water and dont forget the camera. No hiking certain parts of the year for obvious reasons.

The entire 32 mile loop is used for training by Tour de France cyclists as its degrees for up & down hill are not by accident. They're designed so you can never gain enough momentum to entirely propel you up the next hill. For the rest of us, the trail is well built, maintained & accessible. Most of it goes through fairly secluded areas but the it is not too long before you cross paths with someone. There are rest stops, restrooms, call boxes (very few) & a few water fill ups. Scenic and beckons many random stop and absorb panoramic views.

Super safe from car traffic. Tons of scenic variety to complement a tough course.
