Sala is a great place to have right on campus. As college students, we were so used to eating fast food or cafeteria food. It was nice to have a higher end place within walking distance, as most of us didn't have a car. To have a break from the ordinary cuisine we ate was really nice, even if we couldn't afford to all the time. Great pizza and pasta!

First time lunch visitor. Cozy atmosphere with vibrant wall artwork,(some for sale). Wonderful attentative waitress. Menu selection was diverse and tempting. Had the short rib ravioli, absolutely one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time! Finished with the flourless chocolate cake....excellent finish to a great meal. Definitely a return visit is in the works.

Nice atmosphere, staff was very friendly and efficient. Food was good although my opinion is it was a little expensive for what I got. The bread they give you prior to eating is nothing special and they didn't provide olive oil bottle, just a plate of it. It was good overall and I recommend it. Great place for a date. I wouldn't bring kids here.

Wonderful atmosphere, kind staff, and while the menu items seemed interesting, the food was quite disappointing. The crab cake appetizer we got was cooked perfectly, and came accompanied with a tasty dipping sauce! The enjoyment petered out when we got our entrees however; My wife ordered a specialty Ravioli that was 25% more expensive than that of the regular menu item, which was not a problem, save for the problems in the dish itself. The pasta was filled inconsistently and the sauce had almost no flavor. Not too special.
For myself, I'd ordered Marsala Chicken, a Mediterranean favorite of mine. The sauce was bland and semi-sweet, mushrooms tough, while the chicken (simply set atop the dressed pasta) was dry and completely flavorless. Carraba's Italian Grill Chicken Marsala is miles better.
I'm not one to typically complain, but when I spend nearly $100 at dinner, I expect to be impressed. Very disappointing, after hearing great things, perhaps we will try again in a few months!
