Sandy City Police Department

Sandy has a lot of police presence which I like as a citizen of Sandy. However I am tired of seeing them constantly radar commercial street areas, for example 9000 South from trax to Quarry Bend & 9400 South from Quarry bend up to Highland Drive. There are very few children along that road & it is apparent they're just trying to boost revenue or reach a goal by doing this. I would love to see more of them in the neighborhoods patrolling. I live along 9800 South in a 30 mph zone & cars drive 35-45+ mph all day every day, yet no police radars set up where my kids are playing. I would give them 5 stars, but I want to see them on sides streets & near parks where children are at play.

I have called and informed the Sandy Police about the Pavilion at Dewey Bluth Park at least 5 times. Every single day without exception, there is a group of absolute degenerates gathered at this Pavilion. Drugs are sold, passers-by on the jogging path are harassed, and most of the kids here are students from from Jordan High School who are cutting class. If it was regularly patrolled, it would go away. But as a result of the inaction of the Sandy Police Department, the pavilion looks like something you'd find in South Side Chicago. Mark my words, in 50 years, this will be "Sandy Inner City." Born and raised here, but I sure will not retire and die here.

my thanks to these Officer(s) for their service. Officer M, from last night's incident, exception of visiting my home and scaring the hell out of my spouse, great listener, and understanding-ish. thanks again for listening.my stress was skittle more relieved.

Corrupt, jesus Christ have they ever heard of rights? They have done more illegal search and seizures at Jordan park then I can count

Not the nicest or the most compassionate police in the valley. I was given a ticket over something really really small and sadly really petty. I was even given a ticket when I didn’t know I did anything wrong. I had heard that Sandy police had a bad reputation, now I understand why. They’re kind of power trippers. That or they must have been behind on their quota that month.
