This is a fairly large public park within easy reach of most of Lexington. The playground is an old-school wooden structure (you know the kind - thick timbers, lots of gray/brown everywhere) that has seen better days, but obviously still has enough magic to capture the imagination of the many kids that go there. In this day of everyone looking down at their phones, it's refreshing to see and hear the kids at play.

Outdated, the playground and pool need to be updated badly. There is a swamp area in the park which makes the bug and mosquito population extremely high. There isn't any easily accessible restrooms available in the park unless your near the baseball diamonds. The baseball areas of the park are newly renovated and nice. They have decent tennis and basketball courts. The park has plenty of room and is sizeable for the location that makes for a good place to have a picnic or barbeque and not have to be on top of another part. I give it a 3/5 stars for these reasons.

Fun time with my son. They keep the park pretty clean which is nice and I love the wood playground.

Great place to go for a run, the entire look is around 2.75 miles, lots of hills. The path is a shared path with runners and bikers, separate from the road! The park is dog friendly, my pup loves walking here. My only complaint is that the path is not lit at night, the only lights are on the baseball fields and tennis courts, which makes sense, but we would love to go for some night runs but it is pitch black!
