Slapfish

The portions at this restaurant are very generous and the flavor is prefect. An employee, who I presume is the owner, took the time to explain everything on the menu. It was obvious he was passionate about working there and he was happy to give me some of his favorite recommendations. The menu is rather large and there are many healthy options. We have needed a restaurant like this for a while. Fish was fresh and tasted incredible. This place is a must for people who appreciate more than just another burger joint.

Great food with great prices. I had a fish taco that was HUGE. It was about the size of a big fish fillet. They said it would be the size of two fish tacos but it seemed like 4 tacos in one...for $5!! My husband had the shrimp burrito and it was delicious! Also huge. Only $7! They really care about customer service. They let us sample their beer before purchasing one. Everybody was so attentive and they kept making sure everything was great. They asked us how they could make our experience even more amazing. We will definitely be back! Thank you Slapfish for an awesome experience!

Key points: While we were eating dinner one of the employees came up to our table and tried to sell us tickets to a sporting event. I declined, and felt like I was sitting outside in a foreign country where people come up to sell you things. It was completely unprofessional for this business. The food was okay, the service was okay, it was overpriced for what we got, and I will never go back. Full review: I initially thought that I would rate this place 3 stars, but the more I thought about our experience I had to take stars away. We walked in and were looking at the menu when an employee explained that it would be easier at the register. We went over and I felt like I was talking to a sales person who was trying to sell us their product (not what you want in a restaurant). We ordered and our food came pretty quickly. Our $16 calamari was the smallest I have ever received in my entire life - maybe 9 small pieces sitting on a large bed of cabbage - overpriced for this tiny amount. It was okay, not the best I’ve ever had. My ultimate fish sandwich was fine but nothing special and too much heavy bread for my taste. It's hard for me to be impressed by seafood as a former Bostonian but these guys hit it out of the park! Fresh fish and great flavor combinations. Furthermore they are decent sized portions (which can be a scarce thing at seafood places). Sunday night staff were great even though we came in late. I had the epic burrito and girlfriend had the grilled cheese, excellent choices. Will be back!

It kills me how much my wife loves their lobster rolls. The fish taco is literally to big to eat, but somehow still delicious. Besides the killer market price on lobster, the rest of the fish sandwiches are reasonably priced. And fresh fish in the desert is always nice.
