Sonic Drive-In

We were traveling today so we stopped Gere for a quick dinner. My husband loved his burger. I got popcorn chicken and it wasn't very good it tasted like it had sat a little to long. So I told one of the employees and she apologized and said she would get me a fresh order. Then a few seconds later the manager came to our car and apologized again and gave us free Chocolate iced coffee (we could have gotten anything that's what my husband chose) for the inconvenience. I told her it wasn't necessary since they were remaking my chicken but she insisted. Mistakes happen everywhere and I totally understand that and wasn't even upset, but it was nice that they actually seemed like they cared and truly wanted to make it better. I would definitely give them an A+. They did a great job! Oh and our tots & drinks were all really good too.

The cream shake was not mixed at all. The milkshake was the wrong flavor. They forgot to give us honey mustard. We told them they forgot the honey mustard and they said "ok" then never brought it out to us. The food that they got right was good, though.

The food is always lack luster. Hate that I always seems to need things like condiments and such and no one is ever around. Drinks are always awesome.

I have to give a star to leave a rating, and that's a shame. Our visit was almost comically bad. We ordered our food at a kiosk and it came out promptly. Unfortunately, most of it was quite cold and the burgers we got were so overdone and dry, they were almost impossible to bite into. We did have fun tapping the burger patties on the dash of the car to see if they would make noise. They did. We went back through the drive through initially because the sides were very cold. They were replaced with no question. Immediately after that, we found that our burgers were in bad shape so we went through the drive through yet again (we were embarrassed at this point) and were greeted with an audible sigh from the person working the window and a very grudging replacement of the inedible food. We weren't expecting gourmet or fancy...it's a drive through after all. We did expect food that wasn't cold or burnt. It took a lot of effort to get that and in the end, the food we decided to keep was pretty bad and we ended up tossing most of it rather than try once more to get something decent.
