Soul Good Kitchen

This was my first time going to this establishment. The place was very clean and the wait to order my food was about ten minutes. I ordered the rib dinner with mac and cheese, yams, and cornbread for $13.49. The ribs were very tough and had no flavor what so ever. The mac and cheese tasted like it came from a box, the yams were not sweet, and the cornbread tasted horrible! I barley ate any of it and just threw the rest away. I will not be returning!

Restaurant/kitchen was nice and clean from what I could see. Service was decent. Food was done in a reasonable amount of time. The smothered pork chops were seasoned well and the gravy was good. The red beans and rice was good but could have used more sauce, was a little too dry for me. The greens were complicated...They were flavorful and I really wanted to eat them but they smelled like sweaty gym sock and I couldnt eat them all due to that..I couldnt pinpoint exactly why they smelled like that..Worth a return visit though.

First time going there was not crowded but it took 20 min for order.i tried the soul food egg roll hammock dressing greens black eyed peas it was ok but i could taste nothing but the peas...mixed time I see if I can substitute them.woukd I recommend yes
