Southern Char Steakhouse

This is the best restaurant in Picayune, and most likely the best in all of the surrounding areas as well. I was in a party of three, and the wait staff was very attentive to all of us. Every single item we ordered was fresh and absolutely delicious, and our drinks were never empty. The atmosphere was very pleasant as well. The hours are kind of weird, but it's definitely worth fitting into your schedule. I cannot say enough good things about my experience here, it was awesome!

The food was awesome!! I had the small filet mignon and baked potato, my husband had fried oysters. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere was quiet and romantic. We both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. It was a little expensive, but we brought some home unable to eat it all, which was fine- it was great for lunch the following day!

Best steak I've had in quite a while, and my wife and I have a date night every weekend and we've eaten a lot of steaks.

Food was terrible, over priced, and took a long time to come out. I would never recommend this place. You will be happier going to Applebee’s or McDonald’s. I would rather eat dog food.
