Spirits Food & Friends

I ate there Wednesday, 2 May 2018. EXCELLENT! The open space inside, the tables, wait staff, food were all I hoped for. Many very creative side dishes, 3 or 4 burger options; desserts were delicious. A bottle of Argentinian Malbec lived up to its reputation, for only $34. There was live music, though few customers really listened. I felt he sang waaaaaaay too long. The customer needs a break now and then. The guy performed him own compositions, all too similar in feel and style. Nothing caught the room's ear. I recommend Spirit's for its ambiance and food! Well my husband and i went here for our date night. We were very disappointed. The atmosphere was very nice but that is where the positive ended. The service was very slow. Our food was ill timed and my husband's was cold. It took 30 min to get ketchup to put on the cold food. Overall the flavor was something we could have made at home. To top off the evening the live band was playing theme songs and billing them as jazz. Don't waste your time and money.

This is a family favorite, fried green beans, grilled or fried shrimp poyboys with sweet potato fries or brown rice broccoli rice! Yummy. I have never had anything bad here over the years. The restaurant has excellent decor and a great bar and out door seating area. I highly recommend Spirits to anyone in or coming to Alexandria.

Atmosphere and food are great but my experience with the spicy Cajun chicken pasta left me disappointed. The flavors were there but the amount of grease left on my plate and to go box was horrid.

Came over from and heard about this place. I must say the food is smack pn. Service here is awesome. And the band was brilliant. Couldnt have picked a better place for my last night in the USA. Huge thanks to Pam awesome job. Could teach us ozzies a thing or two.
