Sposabella

Went to sposabell today for a mother of the bride dress. When I had called on March 3rd, I was told I needed an appointment. I told them that my wedding was close and we were worried that we wouldn’t have many options. I was told on the phone not to worry that we would have plenty of selections and could buy right off the rack. Once we got there, no one knew we had an appointment today. The lady at the desk took us right away but once she helped us back to the fitting room she never spoke to us again. Other customers walked in without an appointment right after us and were catered to throughout their entire shopping experience. Unfortunately my mother found a dress that she loved but it had a hole in the back. We felt so uncomfortable asking if it could be fixed due to the way the employees treated us. I was very disappointed that we waited almost 3 weeks to go to an appointment that was unnecessary since no one even helped us.

PLUS SIZE WOMEN BEWARE!!! This was one of the worst places I have ever been to try on a bridesmaids dress. The women who was helping us was catering to my sister because she was a smaller size. Mind you, I am a size 14 dress. Not that large and all they had to try on were 0-6 and maybe one size 8. So she catered to my sister and then told me that I would have to choose a dress by the way the dress fit my sister. Also, made a comment about my weight and that if I was unhappy I didn't fit in the dresses I should lose some. Funny coming from someone who was actually around the same size as me. I ended up crying in the dressing room and feeling very defeated by the end. I ended up ordering a dress that they didn't even have in stock when they told the bride that they did. Ignorant women.

There were several beautiful dresses, and you did need an appointment. They left a sour taste in our mouth when we came back to try on the dresses and when my bride to be thought the dress was too big, the main lady said, "It's fine, you're making a big deal out of something that's not even a problem." You don't talk to a bride that stressed out like that. You just don't!

I also went to Sposabella off of word of mouth vs Google reviews. I was pretty nervous going there based off these reviews, especially since they are an hour away from my home, but I'm so incredibly happy I did. My experience at Sposabella was nothing short of perfect. Gloria is incredible and knew exactly what I was looking for. Ask for her when you go!! She found so many dresses for me all within my image, that I actually had a hard time choosing. She even suggested I try on dresses that were out of my comfort zone for fun. Gloria showed me the dresses in venue lighting, natural lighting and gave me a fake bouquet to make it all feel real. She pointed out things that I would never have known to ask. I ordered my dress late April 2017 and they told me my dress would come in some time in October-November. 3rd week of October, I got a call informing my dress was in! So far, the experiences I've had with Sposabella have been everything a bride could hope for.

I had a good experience, and found a dress that I liked, though was put off by all of the negative reviews and the fact that they don't give a range for alterations. When I went to another salon, I told them about it, and they said there is a reason they do it, so didn't seem trustworthy.
